Just watched the two movies in the Wasseypur series, back-to-back and I must say the movie had a lot of scope to be larger than life.
The story spans over a period of almost half-a century. The direction was superb. And not wanting to take away from the actors, Manoj Bajpai or Nawazuddin.. doesn't it come across that if the movie had bigger stars then it MIGHT have done a much better business
. Most of the top stars do tend to do action quite well..
So, would a SRK, or a Salman been able to sell the movie to a wider audience without glorifying gangsters and the mafia? Or is it too much of a risk for them in their career?
