If SRK/ Salman were in Gangs of Wasseypur?!

Just watched the two movies in the Wasseypur series, back-to-back and I must say the movie had a lot of scope to be larger than life.

The story spans over a period of almost half-a century. The direction was superb. And not wanting to take away from the actors, Manoj Bajpai or Nawazuddin.. doesn't it come across that if the movie had bigger stars then it MIGHT have done a much better business

. Most of the top stars do tend to do action quite well..

So, would a SRK, or a Salman been able to sell the movie to a wider audience without glorifying gangsters and the mafia? Or is it too much of a risk for them in their career?

I agree had Salman /SRK been there in the Movie, The movie would have been ...but Maannn Manoj and Nawazuddin were just PERFECT..there...

They might be bigger stars but manoj and nawazzudin are definitely better actors!

Neither Salman nor SRK can act these days.

The 3 Khans are simply chasing box office gold these days. You can never expect them to do a film like GOW. Aamir's "experiments" are also calculated risks (social issue films, scatalogical humour, patriotism or emotional drama). The last radical choice he made was Deepa Mehta's 1947 Earth. (I think he did Dhobi ghat only for his wife or else he wouldn't touch such a film from a barge pole!)

GOW wasn't Khans' cup of tea.
