I don't live in India but we get every Indian channel here.

So the Indians get to know about Hindi movies through TV and the radio.

Plus we have newspapers but they aren't flooded with Bollywood news. The news on movies is pretty limited.

And yeah magazines are a good source but not everybody reads them.

ON I-F i consider the fan following as bullshit..becoz if we follow the profiles of celebs people join those celebs pro's who are bigger successes at the moment..be it TV or films..also one more gross thing this is heavily female oriented website. bollywood hungama is better than this

Social networks and online promotions do help for Non Indians like myself and so many people who do not have other common access to reach Bollywood movies

There was a time where I was totally lost with Indian movies but not anymore thanks to IF, FB and so many web sites :)

I dont think online promotions have much effect at the BO unless its a small multiplex film like Kahaani or PST or Barfi.

Twitter and Facebook are have d strongest impact...as it has over million users...dey can create a profile, add friends, exchange messages etc...youtube too plays an imp.role in dis...

definetely for me as i'm in overseas the only promotion that reach me is online

in france we have bollywood movies screened generally with the khans and there's no promotion at all maybe a small poster in a multiplex

so people got to know about this by the online promos 😊
