Actually I feel Raju has not got his due. Poor guy is so simple and unassuming. He's managed rare feats both critically and commercially with all his films. A director like S. Shankar who never did remakes, chose to remake Raju's film - 3 Idiots. And Kamal Haasan remade Munnabhai MBBS. If I am not mistaken even Chiranjeevi remade LRM. Biggest names have remade his films. Long lost actors like Sanju baba and Arshad got a new lease of life due to him.

But he never wins any top directors' poll! :( He lagged behind Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar in some Ormax Media poll and recently lost in a poll on most admired directors. All because he never does any PR and lets everyone else hog limelight except himself. That prick VVC also hogs limelight because of Hirani making films for his banner. This creative genius stays under shadows due to his simplicity! IMHO he deserves MUCH MORE attention and accolades than he got!

Edit - Useless directors like Sajid Khan have made it to power lists whereas Raju Hirani was not even included. Many people in real life do not even know this is the guy who made Munnabhai films & 3 Idiots. All this due to lack of PR and simple, shy attitude of the guy! :(
