Wow. I am...well, wowed into silence. All day I wondered what to say to this and nothing seemed to suffice. I've always believed that being a storyteller is much harder than being a writer and my (general lack of) storytelling skills always worried me. (This is not me fishing for compliments, by the way, but the honest truth.) And when I began writing this story, one of the things I really wanted was to, even just once, make people lose themselves in the words. The response to this chapter makes me hopeful. So thank you 😊

No, it isn't crazy. Many a time your characters have a mind of their own and you feel resentment towards them. I know and I had felt it too. People say that a character is in a story writer's hand, but I disagree there. The characters of a story are driven by their intentions and interactions and sometimes story writer is a mere puppet. Haina? Eww what the hell have I spoken again? You know this thread is like a weird sort of sach ka saamna. As long as you are sitting on the hot seat, you'd be a different person only to feel embarrassed later😆
PS: Man... I have become quite popular in this thread. There's this friend of mine (read Yappingduck) who was whining today saying what the hell is in my comment which said "I am feeling too dumb to comment" which made five people to like it🤣

All the disappointment I felt over Maan disappeared. His one line was his undoing. And it also showed for me, that he was shackled and he had his own reasons probably. And the silent tears Geet cried, trust me made my heart go out for the girl. Is it possible to feel for two people who are against each other, and well they aren't against each other in real sense...may be just... ah never mind.
The song just completed and heightened the feel. Zarin, can I kis your hands for typing such a beautiful piece?
Oh that song went to my playlist now!

I had a bit of an anxiety attack on the bus when I realised that the edits I had made did not show up. They're minor changes but now that I've made them, I feel a lot calmer.

I think it is. At least, I hope it is...Neither of them are wrong so far, I guess. Or rather, if they are, they are both wrong in equal measures, so it sort of cancels out...
I had written this part before I'd written the previous chapter and coincidentally, as I was ironing it out today, I happened to click on this song for the first time. It all just fell into place and I thought, "This was no coincidence".
I'm touched that you liked this chapter, S. I've been really apprehensive about how the follow up chapter to Chapter 11 would fare.
