Now what do You think? Can remakes be better than the original movie?
Yes, I think they can be better for sure! Remakes ought to be better than the original concept, right. In addition, I think the new Devdas is bigger, greater and more beautiful, no offense please…!
But on the other hand, the fact remains that you get your doubts about plans of remaking movies like Sholay or Amar Akhbar Antony. I believe that there can't be a greater versions of Sholay! But I might be proven wrong, we'll see.
Can the actors playing in a remake live upto the expectations?
Well most of the remakes resemble the original concept a lot, and therefore I think, the characters in the remake have to live up to the expextations one develops when hearing abt such a remake. And I believe that if a character is portrayed very well by an actor it can definitely live up to the expectations!
Doesn't everyone expect more from such actors and actresses?
Well, don't know about more, but at least everyone expect the characters to be like portrayed in the first version. And then comparisions are being made, which actor portrayed the role more beautiful, with more passion or dedication.
Don't we automatically try to compare the actors of the original movie and the remake?
Yes that IS inevitable. That is If you've seen the original movie before! I am saying this because I got interested in the old Devdas after watching Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, and I can say that I like the new devdas better!
