Tittu brought along with him other butterflies and birds who helped Geet to put the clothes and linen for drying. Romeo taking help from Pinku and Pinky helped her fill buckets and rinse the remaining suits. Geet was overwhelmed looking at them never had imagined some day her pets will help her in times of distress.
"Meri madat karne ke liyein bahot shukriyaā¦ Yeh ehsaan mein kaise chukaungi..???"
Romeo whilst foaming the soap in the bucket spoke.
"Huhā¦ Geet abhi toh bas shuruwaat haiā¦ Aage aage dekho hum kya karte haiā¦!!!"
"Hum bina kissi jijak pahoch jaayenge tumhari madad ke liyein"
Spoke Tittu excitedly.
Meanwhile Chhoti Maa and the twins were returning back. Both were happy after registering their names for the beauty contest.
"Maaā¦ Aap ko lagta hai Geet ne saara kaam khatam kar liya hogaā¦???"
"Preetoā¦ Tum toh jaanthi honā¦ Geet kitni aalsi haiā¦ Main toh sharth laga kar kehti hoon ke Haveli waisi ki waisi hogiā¦."
"Agar kaam nahi kiya toh usski sazaa bhugtne ke liyein taiyaar rehna hoga usseā¦"
On otherside Geet was brooming the staircase and Romeo was mopping the floor. The squirrel couple cold hold of a wet rag and skated down the staircase railings inturn cleaning it.. But in their excitement they forgot to see the soap filled bucket in front. Geet yelled for them to watch out but the mess was already done. The floor in the drawing room was all wet and water logged.
"Nahiiiā¦ā¦ Ab kya hogaā¦???"
Romeo glared at the squirrel couple and they just pointed at each other.
"Maine kuch nahi kiyaā¦Saari galti iss Pinky ki haiā¦ Issne dhakka diya mujheā¦"
"Awwwā¦. Kya maine dhakka diya tumhe aur joh tumne mujhe pakad ke rakha tha woh kya thaā¦???"
Both started blaming each other when Geet pushed them away to stop their unnecessary argument.
"Yeh tum log baad mein bhi teiy kar sakte honā¦ Pehle yeh paani jaldi saaf karne mein meri madat karoā¦"

Outside Tittu his friends and other birds had trimmed the bushes in the garden and also watered the plants. They were doing the last work of disposing the weeds and the dried leaves when Tittu spotted the carriage arriving back.
"Aa gayyi Chudellon ki sawaariā¦"
He flew swiftly inside the Haveli and informed Geet.
"Kya woh log aa gayyeā¦ Babajiā¦ Abhi toh bahot kuch baaki reh gayya haiā¦"
She and the pets started to panic not knowing what to do, when a idea struck Romeo's mind. He layed flat on the floor and mopped all the water in his fur sliding on the floor 2-3 times.
"Waah re mere sherā¦ Kya tarikka apnaaya haiā¦"
"Geeetttā¦ Kaam hua ya nahiā¦???"
Geet who was smiling heartidly stifled on hearing her Chhoti Maa's voice.
"Aayi Chhoti Maaā¦"
She answered her back and pushed Romeo and all the pets outside the Haveli through the back door.
"Romeo jab tak main na bulau Haveli ke andar bilkul mat aanaā¦ Samjheā¦"
Giving her final word she skipped to the drawing room. Preeto spoke angrily looking at Geet.
"Dekha Maaā¦ Maine kaha tha ab tak Geet ne koi kaam kiya nahi hogaā¦"
"Nahiā¦ Nahiā¦ Maine sab kaam waqt pe khatam kar diye haiā¦"
"Acchaā¦ Lekin jaldbaazi mein chamak-dhamak ke bare mein kahaan socha hogaā¦ Bas aivanyi ki hogi safaai, uppar se, humein dikhane ke liyeinā¦"
"Nahi sach meinā¦ Mere se jitna ho saka maine kiyaā¦"
Chhoti Maa and the two chudels entered inside to see the Haveli sparkling. The tiled floor looked like mirrors, one could see his/her image in it. All corner of the Haveli were cleant properly, no sign of dirt and cob-webs. All the three chudels gaped at the Haveli like looking at it for the 1st time."Itna saaf-sudraā¦ Tumne itna sab kuch kam waqt mein kaise kiyaā¦ Hunā¦???"
"Haanā¦ Bahot acche se kaam kiya hai tumneā¦"
Geet and the pets who were watching all this from outside the window left a sigh of relief. Romeo had spread himself on the grass inorder to dry himself gave a triumphant smile after looking at the thumps-up sign from the other jaanwar party. Chhoti Maa touched the furniture to check for some traces of dust but couldn't see any. This didn't mean she will let Geet take rest for some time.
"Geetā¦ Saaf-safaai toh acchi hai par raat ke khaane ka kya haal haiā¦??"
"Haanā¦ Mujhe toh bahot bhukh lagi haiā¦"
"Main abhi chhole-bature banakar laati hoonā¦"
"Geetā¦ Kuch bhi laa do par ek baat ka dhyaan rakhnaā¦ Joh bhi bana rahi hon woh bahot bananaā¦ Samjh gayyiā¦"
Geet looked at Preeto shockingly and spoke.
"Thik haiā¦ Main abhi laati hoonā¦"

Geet was peeling potatoes to make Aloo ke Parathe. Wiping off the precious beads of sweat from her forhead. She looked at the remaining heap of potatoes.
"Babajiā¦ Lagta hai raat ka khana nahi honewalaā¦ Chhoti Maa iss baar sacchi mein mujhe ghar se bahar nikal dengiā¦ Unnko kissi cheez ke liyein intezaar karna bilkul bhi pasand nahi haiā¦ Khaas kar ke Preeto koā¦ "
"Geetā¦ Tum chinta mat karoā¦ Main dekhta hoon khaana kaise nahi bantaā¦"
Pinku spoke determingly and caught hold of the peeler. Pinky on the other side twirled the potato on its sharp end. Within 5mins all the potatoes were peeled. Romeo caught hold of the knife's handle in his jaws and pressed the sharp end on to the potatoes and cut them into pieces. Geet looked at them gratefully.
"Jaante honā¦ Tum log duniya ke sabse acche dost honā¦"
Almost all work was done and the chhole's were steaming. Romeo blew the fire to increase it.
"Khushboo toh acchi aa rahi haiā¦"
"Geet khaana ban gayaā¦??? Hum bhook se mar rahein haiā¦"
"Aayiā¦ Bas ho gayaā¦"
She answered them back and told Pinku and Pinky to hurry up whilst she clean the plates and saucers.. The squirrel couple stood on the counter to add the masalas and salt. They were carefully dusting it in the vessel. Unfortunately the lid of the container having salt got loosened and all the salt got emptied in the vessel. All let out a gasp and looked each other shockingly. Geet just emptied the dish hurriedly in the saucers nad dashed to the dining area.
"Geetā¦ Rukoā¦ Khaane mein namakā¦."
She didn't hear what Pinky had to say. Chhoti Maa and looked with their salivating mouths at the food.
"Geetā¦ Khaana toh lajhiz lag raha haiā¦ Par phir bhi humein tum par shaq aa raha haiā¦ Issiliyein pehle hamari billi yeh khaana chakegiā¦"
The Haveli's cat was fed the food and she just moved away having a bite of the dish. All the three chudels tasted it a bit after the scene and sensed the saltiness in it.
"Yeh kaisa khaana hai Geetā¦??? Tumhein kya lagta hai hum itna khara khaana khayengeā¦??"
Geet looked at them scaringly and shockingly.
"Loā¦ Tum bhi chak kar dekh loā¦ Apne aap pata chal jaayegaā¦ Pura khaloā¦"
Preeto forwarded her the plate and Geet just stared it helplessly.
"Maine kahaā¦ Khao isse Geetā¦"
Chhoti Maa ordered her to have the salty dish. The pets felt guilty looking whatever Geet had to go through because of them. Sona peeped through the window and felt pitty on her too.
"Tum daro mat Geetā¦ Main hoon na, main sab thik kar dungiā¦"
Geet took a spoonful of the dish and brought close to her lips. Sona at that instant closed her eyes and snapped her fingers twice. Geet closed her eyes and took the salty dish in her mouth but it was no longer salty. Chhoti Maa smirked looking at her helpless form.
"Ummmā¦ Itna accha khaana maine banayaā¦ Mujhe toh yaqin hi nahi ho raha haiā¦"
"Kyaaaā¦???"
Screamed both Nandini and Preeto. Both took a taste of the same dish from their same plates and where surprised to sense it was tasty, out of this world taste indeed. The Haveli's cat too came back and licked the last of the remains of the food from his plate.
"Hmmmā¦ Bahot acchaā¦ Isska matlab humein dusri khaana bananewali nahi rakhni padegiā¦ Aaj se khaana bhi tum banaogiā¦"

Late at night Geet lay in her room with her doll kept hugging close to her chest. Romeo sat next to her bed on the floor, Tittu rested on her bedsheet, Pinku and Pinky sat on the sides of her pillow.
"Aaj ka din bahot bura gaya hota agar tum log meri madat nahi karte tohā¦"
"Issmein kehnewali kya baat hai Geetā¦ Aaj bahot maza aaya tumhari madat karne meinā¦ Tum chaho toh hum roz karenge tumhari madatā¦"
"Haanā¦ Pinky thik keh rahi haiā¦"
"Hmmā¦ Pata haiā¦ Ab se main kamzor nahi padungiā¦ Tum log joh ho mere saathā¦ Babaji bhi hai humare saathā¦"
