Thanks cvs for returning 'full' flavour of an original favourite character( Bhairav), whom you had unwittingly soured to some (and only to some)-but bindingly so. Yes, to most, his firmness is a principled trait with out any reason to bow. As far as his rock solid support to correctness- justice to Anandi- by all means Yes, it is SO.
Disappointment starts at other abandonment. Up until the 'return', he beholds his wrath in rationale. A just disownment from a violated parenthood. His anguish, his hurt...
After an age, The errant entreats an amendment. By fate, jolted over a slur on honour of the same father by another offender. Even then, wrong methods and wrong subversions. Cynicism justified with subsequent turns. Then comes delusions. Daughter herself forgives and firmly set on her path. Jettison the 'illusions'. But what does one see on him? Now, a clueless delusional, administered of his illusions is searching some respite. Perhaps yet not meriting any. Certainly a long list of sins and punishment for him. But, as a parent, not a flicker of empathy for a now rootless son flailing for help? In betw'n, a physical illness with a threat to life on this 'errant' son ignored with almost a complete indifference. The original 'wrath' takes in a vindictive apathy. Not seating square with ideals of a benevolent parenthood however fallen the off spring was.
Today, seeing him recognising his only son, a long lost boy ( his own word), in first thaw and a flicker of pride, his extended hand, he reconciles an 'orphaned' parenthood. Thanks Cvs for a convincing conviction- In Bhairav. a much needed closure.

Gr8 post 👍🏼 Loved the coinage "Orphaned Parenthood" ... Very aptly describes Sumitra n Bhairav's state prior to tonight's episode ...

Yes, before Dadisa knocked some 'parenthood' in these two uber idealist parents, they were actually consoling each other on missed 'targets' of 'upbringing'! How much, even in name of idealism, can writer keep on catering? A mother, looking at her only son after an eon- stripped of friends, family, career, health- even if all by his own doing, would she rue her 'shame' or his abjectness? Son might have earned full 'payment', all stripping or even more. He might have a longer list to atone before aspiring for any reconciliation. Much more grinding. By surrendering on his own crime, he is not doing favour to anybody. But Parents, affecting a spiteful disdain, regretting, not his ruin, their own honour, are removing themselves from a connect that we instinctively look in a 'parental instinct' concept - a last shelter to even a failed child. Thank god, Dsa shored them up, woke them out of a numbing idealism. In recognisable parents, writers are crediting themselves. And hence a clap.

Inbet'n, they had laid down many false starts on jag. Many half cooked reversals. Including a similar confession of crime in chapati 'murder' attempt, with worse ulterior intentions on him. If they intend to cast their famous 'brilliance' on him once more, it does not take away goodness from fine ending today, as per the events so far.

Excellently expressed👏👏👏

What I noticed most that when Sumitra is talking to him, praising him for having the courage to own up, Jagya is looking happy but still lost. But when Bhairon calls him beta...the way Jagya holds his hand to his face was very touching to see.

Jagya knew that in time to come DS, Sumitra, Anandi everyone will forgive & accept him. Bhairon was the only one whose acceptance & forgiveness was elusive and hence mattered most.

Bhairon & Anandi are, in many ways, Jagya's conscience keepers. He looks to these 2 for guidance & direction. Jagya was always a lost soul, very vulnerable, gullible and easy to influence. Till he stayed in Jaitsar, Anandi used to guide him in identifying right & wrong. As soon as he moved out for her influence, he has been going berserk...thinking only abt himself, not bothering abt the family and basically having lost all sense (moral or otherwise) about what is right & what is wrong.

It was heartening to see Bhairon accepting Jagya again...in Anandi's absence Bhairon needs to take an active interest in his life and bring it on proper track. I hope we will now get to see the old Jagya back...a Jagya whom at least I used to absolutely adore!!!

@ bold - once again an apt description of d malaise that has pestered this parent duo through all their efforts/non-efforts at dealing with their son's upbringing ...

^^UDEY,
I Don't think it's malice. An anger fortified with a just righteousness perhaps. What soured is its continuation even at his pitiable state. A viewer's backlash justified on his blatant missteps earlier, may not hold true for a parental relationship. Again, however much soured earlier- not even in fiction perhaps. For Parents may not exact 'backlash', grudge. IMO.

Yes Mansi, look at the corrected poise of the same characters. Today, Sumitra is no longer found misplaced. Her courage, at shoring up Dsa, is a touching and true one. Her simple resolve,Today, to rejoice at her daughter's rise, rings truthful, for she has no longer consigned her son to oblivion. Her hopes for her son are sincere. So are her celebrations.

But some one please tell me, is Surekhaji working in any other serial. I don't want to miss her anywhere. What an actor! Nay, what an Artist! A mere two minute sequence- A weather worn matriarch, all out to set millions of colours in the life of her treasured daughter, and yet helplessly withholding her sorrow- a gnawing void...What a masterful 'dokeri'. Surekhaji We owe you BV.⭐️
