AnSh: Pyar ka Chakkar Jagat Ghanchakkar
Both the families have gone to the Ganesh Temple for inviting GOD to AnSh wedding. AnSh take blessings of GOD. When all r about to leave Shiv tells them that he n Anandi have to go for some very important work. They leave in his open Jeep n reach their favorite spot the lake. Shiv begins spills out all his emotions slowly but steadily. He does not want to shock or hurt Anandi. Her feelings are far more important to him than his confession of love. He promises her that they will always b BEST FRIENDS 4 life n what he is about to say will not change anything between them. Anandi is tensed Shiv sees this n quickly says that they are nothing to worry.
He makes her sit under a shady tree, he wanted the shade of his love to fall on her but this had to do for now. He sat a little far from her. He was more nervous than her. He removed a beautiful blue ornate box from his kurta pocket n placed it in front of her. She looked inquisitively. He slowly opened it n said that it was an engagement gift for her as it had recently dawned to him that he had not given her an engagement gift. She pointed at the ring but he said that that was from the family, this was just from him. He opens it an there are a pair of beautiful anklets in it. Anandi is very happy to see them. She always loves his gifts.
Shiv asks Anandi, "Agar aapko bura na lage toh,Kya ye payal main aapko pehna sakta hoon?" Anandi does not reply. She looks at him. He thinks she is offended just as he was about to apologize, She lifted her ghaghra n lifts her leg up a little. Coincidently she had forgotten to wear her anklets that day. Shiv bends down in front of her n puts the anklets around her ankles. His fingers quivering Anandi felt his nervousness n smiled at his innocence. Shiv slowly gets up n returns to his seat under the tree. There is silence. He is mustering up the strength to say the three magical words to his lady love.
Finally, Shiv says that he is very lucky to have found Anandi n was very happy n privileged that she was going to be his life partner. Anandi was touched by his words she was never made to feel so worthy ever before. Shiv then gets up paces around Anandi gets up n touches him from the back. Shiv turns to her n says, "I LOVE YOU". Anandi is touched. He adds that she doesn't need to reciprocate till she really doesn't feel it. He said like u I don't want to hide anything from u not even my feelings. I just hope I haven't hurt u. Anandi smiles Shiv is relieved that she is not hurt.
They stand there, a long eye lock. The sun sets behind them. A beautiful silhouette of AnSh is seen. Their emotions can be seen in those dark images. Anandi takes his leave Shiv sees her leave. Today Anandi met Shiv, her wud be husband.
Back at the haveli Jagat is going through the sandook in which Anandi put all her memories of their dead relation. He thinks she still loves me so kept it all little does he know she asked Makhan kaka to throw it in a well. Anandi entered the haveli beaming n smiling. Everyone noticed this. Something had changed in their "laado" from the last time they had seen her. Jagat was seeing her from above n was fuming with rage that she was happy after meeting Shiv alone. "HOW DARE SHE BE HAPPY AFTER MEETING A PARAYA MARD." He thought.
Anandi was very clear with Dsa that she will not accept Jagat back in her life. She forgave him so he can be back with his family and not with her. Dsa half heartedly accepted her decision and Bhairon too gave her a stern warning not to repeat what she said to Anandi to Shiv. Anandi came n sat besides Dsa n asked her if she would invite her "saasrawala's" for dinner the next day. Dsa is shocked n says, "Thaari bhali hove chhori mane ab yaad dilave ki samdhiyon ko ab tak khanne pe na bulayo maine. Ke scohe honge humaare bare mein?" Anandi says, " Dsa woh log aise nahi hain samjhenge ki app anjaane mein ye galti kar gayi." Dsa n all were happy at Anandi's initiative. Dsa called Daddu n invited them for dinner the next day. Anandi was very happy but did not know why. Shiv was beaming with happiness as he had finally professed his love to Anandi n she was happy to hear it.
Anandi went to her room, she wasn't tired even after the long day she had. She removed all her jewelry except the engagement ring n her anklets. She moved her feet to hear the "chhamm chhamm" sound they made. She continued to make that sound n as wind blew the wind chime on her window made a soft sound as if conversing with her anklets. She slept with a huge smile on her face.
Next day she prepared all the dishes Shiv n his family liked. Her famous "halwa" was made by Gehna even after much protest from Anandi. She was disappointed that she will not c him happily gorge down her halwa. She went to her room to get ready. Jagat was seeing all the fuss made for the Shekhar's and scoffed in arrogance. He had a plan for when they came. Bhairon had strictly informed him to b confined in his room.
The Singh's welcomed the Shekhar's n Dsa apologized for not inviting them before. Daddu gave Dsa his trademark flower bouquet. She was now used to it n accepted with grace. They all settled in the living area. Shiv's eyes were searching for his lady love. Gehna noticed this n said, "Kuwarsa Anandi ghar par nahi hai. Woh Sugna ke ghar gayi hai." Shiv's face lost all glow on hearing this. Everyone burst out laughing seeing Shiv's bechari halat. He was informed that she is getting ready as she prepared all the food own her own. Gehna quickly said, "Kuwarsa in sabki aadat daal lo main toh tai saas hoon, aapki saaliyan toh na jaane kitna chhedengi." Shiv blushed with embarrassment.
In her room Anandi heard the laugh. She was getting ready. She had prepared a special surprise just for Shiv. She wore a dark green saree with the bangles he got for her at the "Karni mata Temple" The door of her room opened Jagat spying from behind his door was panged with a sudden rush of jealousy. He thought to himself," She dressed up for that bloody COLLECTOR. She doesn't even look at me." Anandi was coming down n Shiv heard the noise of the anklets he gave her. She did not ever want to part with them.
He cud not take his eyes off of her. She smiled at all n felt shy at the way he was staring at her in front of all. She gave him a "teacherjee look". He looked away just as his family was about to notice n make fun of him. Everyone were about to move to the dining area when Nandu n Jagat came down. Jagat had coaxed the poor child to take him down. Dsa n all were shocked to c him down Jagat was about to introduce him to the Shekhar's. He said, "I am Jagdish." He was about to continue to say Anandi's ex hubby but Shiv cut him in between n introduced Jagat to his family. Shiv said, "Ye Jagdish hai, Dadiji ka pota." His family n Anandi were proud of the way He protected Anandi's rep. His family knew about Jagdish in haveli. CM was filled in by Shiv bout Jagdish kaminapan so she was also now understanding towards Anandi like others.
In the dining area everyone were about to sit. Dsa arranged for a bigger dining table so all cud sit. Shiv pulled his regular chair n Jagat came in between saying that this was his place. Everyone is appalled. Shiv handled the situation with maturity n said, "Main kisi ki jagah lene mein vishwaas nahi karta, balikki apni jagah khud banata hoon." He looked at Anandi. Jagat fumed as he was unable to insult Shiv. There was only one place left.Taiji n Anandi were still standing. Shiv did not want to eat without Anandi. So he asked taiji to b seated n have dinner. Jagat asked, "Agar taiji abhi khana khayengi toh parosega kaun?" He looked at Anandi n slyly smiled. Shiv saw this. Shiv said, "Jagdish, aap itne badi hain toh khud hi serve kar lijiye. Ya phir aap kahe toh main paros doon. Is ghar ka jamaai hoon mera bhi kuch farz hai." Jagat smiled wryly.
Suddenly someone called out Anandi's name in a firang accent. It was Ashi. She came down to surprise AnSh for their wedding. Her mission was successful. She came and hugged AnSh. Dsa was fine with the "Lapoondari" being there. AnSh were now 2gether n she was not a threat. She was in a messy look as if her journey was not smooth. She said, "I met a STUPID BOY. Jaipur highway pe mera car broke down, mein ek larke se mili. He was coming here but did not give me lift. I hitchhiked in any mode of transport I got." AnSh looked at her n told her she cud have called them up. She says," Tum dono ek dusre ko deserve karte hain. Pagal hai, agar batate toh surprise kese dete." She said in her tooti photi hindi. Jagat stared at her.
Anandi took Ashi to her room to freshen up. Shiv waited in the hall while others continued with their dinner. When Anandi came down with Ashi she was lost in some thought. Ashi moved ahead n Anandi was walking slowly. Suddenly she felt a hand pull her. It was Shiv. He took her behind a wall and in a soft voice asked, "Anandijee, main aapse ek baat poochoon agar aap bura na mane." She was waiting for his question n nodded in a yes. He continued, "Anandijee, Jagdish ko kya pasand hai? Woh main unko Thank u kehna chahta hoon. Aaj unki wajah se mera shaadi ke baad wala sapna phirse poora hoga." He smiled. She was confused. Then she remembered the dinner date n smiled. She pushed him away slightly n refused as Ashi was gonna have dinner with them n even the families were there. He mocked anger n pouted his lips like a small child.
There was another loud shout from the outside the hall, "Bhaabhi kaha hain aap. Dekhiye aapka natkhat devar aaya hai specially aap se milne." Shiv went out n got Mahi in. He took blessing from all. He was eager to meet his bhaabhi. Ashi was shocked to c the STUPID BOY. Mahi n Ashi had never met before. They instantly got into a tiff. AnSh broke them apart n introduced them. Mahi was smitten by Ashi but she ignored him knowing his reaction to her.
Everyone had finished dinner. They come to the living area. Both families want to discuss about the wedding so bhairon tells Jagat to leave as he is not required to stay there. Bhairon tells AnSh n Mahi n Ashi to go have dinner so the elders can talk. Shiv refuses to eat saying he's not hungry. He is still pouting. Jagat thinks," He is such a wimp." But little does he know that Our COLLECTOR is playing in his best field position. Jagat heavy heartedly gets up to leave just then Anandi stops him. All look at her. Jagat smiles to show all that c Anandi herself is stopping me I am so important to her. Anandi looks at Shiv who is still pouting n says, "Aapko Jagdish se kuchh kehna tha na?" She smiles as the twinkle in his eyes return. Shiv gets up n puts forth his hand to thank Jagat. Everyone including Jagat is amazed at this gesture.
Mahi, Ashi n AnSh go to the dining area to have dinner. There are three plates. Mahi, Ashi sit side by side n AnSh sit 2gether. Jagat makes an excuse n goes to the kitchen n on his way sees the plating. He is furious as he gets what is going on. Jagat feels like a GHANCHAKKAR n rethinks his decision of not allowing Shiv to sit on his seat to have dinner. Mahi n Ashi r still arguing about their encounter n what followed. They do not notice AnSh share a dinner plate. Shiv wants to hold both of Anandi's hands n return her favor of feeding him on Jaipur trip by feeding her but restrains himself. One step at a time.
They finish dinner n join others in the living area. They all haven't had "halwa". Anandi serves it to all n gives Shiv a small sized bowl. He looks astonished cause Anandi knows that he can easily gorge down 2 kgs of halwa made by her in one sitting. Jagat is back to annoy all. DSa asked Anandi, " Ri chhori mahre Shiv ko chota katora kai diyo, usne toh halwa khoob bhave." Anandi replies, "Dsa main jaanti hoon inhe halwa bahut pasand hai. Par inhe khana waste karna pasand nahi. Ye chakhe aur inhe pasand aaya toh main aur doongi."
Everyone relishes the halwa. Jagat to show off starts praising Anandi. He says, "Halwa bahut acchha hai, tumhare haton mein jadoo hai." Looks at Shiv n smirks thinking I praised Anandi before u. All stare at his crude behavior. Shiv is patient. He takes a bite n gets it. Looks at Anandi n Gehna who r standing side by side n says, " Aapne halwa bahut acchaa banaya hai, Taisa." Taisa nods n accepts his praises. Jagat is annoyed by this as he did not after 18 years recognize that the halwa was not made by Anandi.
Shiv finishes the halwa but as u know he can eat mangoes even if his stomach is over filled. The Shekhar's brought mangoes from their garden in Udaipur. Shiv wants to eat mangoes. Daddu makes fun of him n says, "Bhukkhad hai kya jitna khaya utna toh pacha." Shiv again pouts n says, "Not fair daddu aap nahi kha sakte toh main bhi na khaoon." Dsa signals Anandi n Gehna to get mangoes. Jagat notices n thinks that is this Shiv really educated from London. He likes desi food so much. His mentality as we all know resided in the gutter. Jagat to show Shiv that he is educated n hoity toity asks Gehna to cut the mangoes for him n get a fork too. Shiv notices n laughs in his mouth.
Mangoes come n Jagat eats his in a hoity tioty way. Shiv starts to eat his mango like a small child going after a bar of his favorite chocolate. Everyone look at him n start laughing. More than Shiv his shirt has eaten the mango. The juices have flown till his skin. He feels itchy. Ira asks Dsa, " Agar problem na ho toh Shiv fresh hokar change karle." Dsa asks Anandi to take Shiv to her room n help him out.
In her room Anandi tells Shiv, "Aap jaldi se naha lijiye, main aapke kapde nikaal deti hoon." Shiv is standing near her cupboard. Shiv looks at her moving towards him n takes a step back. She looks at his expression n finds something fishy. She moves on to the cupboard n removes his clothes which he left behind on the "tabela romance" day. She gives him a towel n places his clothes on the bed. He goes for a quick shower n returns in 10 minutes. She is still in the room. She sees him only towel clad. Does not budge a bit. Checks him out top to bottom n again to the top. He is embarrassed like the previous time. He moves forward in her direction. His eyes fixed on her, her heart beating faster than the speed of a Jet Train.
He comes very close to her n bends. She does not get what he is doing. She takes a step back to make distance between them n falls backwards. He holds her to break her fall. His right palm fixed on her waist makes him fall on her. She holds his upper arm. They have an intense eye lock. His palm still, holding her waist tightly. Only his thumb moves a centimeter. A shiver runs down her spine, the first touch of her wud be husband. She digs her fingers in his arm. He has touched her before but now she saw him in light of her wud b husband. So this touch was different special. Still, looking at each other. Suddenly, a drop of water from his wet locks falls on her lower lip.
His throat feels parched. He wants to take that drop of water in his mouth as if it were the last drop of water on earth. He controls himself. He has set boundaries for himself for before n after wedding which he will not cross until Anandi lets him. He looks at the drop of water again. Thinks (Boond boond se sagar banta hai. He is waiting for the day when Anandi is ready to drown herself in his ocean of love.) He breaks the eye lock n gets up. Anandi wonders, "Why did he not make a move. He loves me. Then why?" She stares at him. He says, "Sorry woh main apni shirt lene jaa raha tha aap gir rahi thi toh pakad liya."
She looks at his bare chest. His masculine features were stirring up a storm inside her. She felt the drop of water on her lip n quickly avoiding him seeing her, licked it. It was the first drop of Shiv's "ocean of love" consumed by her. Someday she thought of drowning in it. Shiv turned away n lifted his arms to put on his shirt. Her eyes fixed on his bare back. Every cut in his muscle visible to her. He turns n looks at her still standing like a statue. He Jerks her. She says, "Ho gaya chale?" He looks at her amused. He says, "Anandijee aap mujhe aise dekhke nahi chaunki lekin aapke gharwale chaukenge." She looks at him n blushes He has his shirt n towel on. He looks at her n signs. She doesn't move. He then tells her clearly, "Aap jaiye main jeans pehankar aata hoon." Lifts up his jeans. She blushes n turns away.
Outside her room she puts her hand on her heart n says, "Anandi apne aap par control kar warna teri pol khul jayegi." She rushes down stairs. No one notices her all elders are busy discussing her wedding. Ashi comes close to Anandi n whispers in her ears," Tumhari saree wet kaise ho gayi?" Anandi notices her upper part of the saree wet from the time Shiv fell on her with his semi wet bare chest. She blushes n eyes Ashi. Shiv comes down n joins all. Jagat noticed a change in Anandi's behavior after returning from her room. A look of disgust spread on his face. After sometime the Shekhar's leave. Anandi runs to her room sees Shiv from her window. Ashi is going to stay at the Singh hse till the wedding.
That night Ashi n Anandi r chatting. She teases her n Anandi asks her is she is alright with AnSh wedding. Ashi says she had one good friend in Shiv now she has two good friends in AnSh. Anandi looks at her naughtily n asks," Mahi devarjee mein tumhe kaun mila hai Ashi?" Ashi picks up a pillow n throws at Anandi. In the C H Mahi n party r teasing Shiv who is now redder than SCARLET RED. He gets up making an excuse of getting up early for a meeting. Mahi hoots n says, "Kal Sarpanch aur Collector ki pvt. meeting hai." Shiv gives him a stern big bro look.
AnSh r both unable to sleep thinking about what had transpired in her room. Anandi gets up n goes to the mirror. She takes a long look at herself n sees a change in her. She is not just Anandi anymore, she is becoming Shiv's Anandi. At the C H Shiv changes into his inner vest for sleeping. He checks himself in the mirror n notices the nail marks made by HIS Anandi.
Jagat knew that Anandi is no longer HIS. He however tries that he will get his step ladder(Anandi) to the Singh family wealth back. He knew that Anandi is not the one to change her decision easily. So he thought to play on the feelings of the honest and emotional fool Collector. He knew that Shiv is a man of principles and will never go after something that wasn't his. He will do anything for Anandi's happiness and for the Singh family. Shiv loved the Singh's more than Jagat himself.
He decided to play on Shiv's emotions. He will get me my step ladder back. He scoffed as he knew it would be easy to get Shiv to back off from the marriage. Just give him waasta of Anandi's happiness. Make him believe that Anandi's happiness is with him and not Shiv. He had plenty proff to assist him in his (ghatiya) mission.
