u said clearly about family or country's priority...

as in police or other related jobs, the country is their 1st priority...

but for the selfish and who thinks about them and their family is always concerned about them only...

sandhya always think about others eventhough she mentioned to ankur she now learned to live for other happiness not mine...

she want become ips officer since childhood that means she is living for others only from chilhood till now...

ONLY ONE THING I WANT SAY IS WHO THINKS FOR OTHER HAPPINESS AND LIVE 4 OTHERS,FOR THEM THE WHOLE WORLD IS LIKE FAMILY...

in that point family or country is all in one name as FAMILY...

note sorry if any mistakes in typing

Just following from ur comment udnis...

I think one more aspect must be considered.

Sandhya may not be the best Beendni in terms of domestic tasks but she has never shirked or lazed her way out of her duties.

She has been there for the whole Rathi family in spite of their numerous taunts and hurts.

She's proven herself time and time again that she's willing to sacrifice herself at the alter of family.

So the main question is: Why can't the family back her up when it comes to her dreams?

That is the change we need to see. Work and home should not be seen as mutually exclusive. An example used was Chavvi's lecturer who was given respect and consideration despite her role as a working woman. She pointed out that it is in fact possible.

Babho has seen time and again the need and usefulness of Sandhya's education and still she digs in her heels when it comes to Sandhya's natural abilities unrelated to domestic virtues.
Sandhya has always suppressed her own needs in the face of Bhabho's endless list of reservations when. I don't really see that changing without a push from Suraj in the future. Family first has become her motto.

I see the dilemma as being Bhabho's as the fear is hers and the understanding for progress must come from her.

It's the age old thinking that women who go out into the workforce are bound to become tainted and obscene... like wearing pant and shirts... Getting greedy for money.. Being too outspoken and being generally dishonourable.

The words above are all picked up from various statements Bhabho has made over previous stretch of episodes.

All we can do is offer a prayer that Sandhya's immense fountain of patience for the Rathi's prevails. May Suraj manage to withstand the torrents of emotional blackmail that'll flow from Bhabho's way once Sandhya's IPS dreams come to the fore. And last but not least...the Romantical moments be sprinkled liberally thought the forthcoming saga of the further trials and tribulations of the DAB duo.

Nicely written.
The thing is, Sandhya's in-laws is a family that is of a very backward thinking. While they mean well, they do not expect the women to be well-educated, independent or dominant. It is true that Bhabho is a dominant member of the family but then also, the DIL's are expected to be submissive.
While any profession might have been objectionable in that family, IPS is even more for them to accept, I feel.
I think even in very modern families, it is not taken well if the wife is more successful than the husband. So will Bhabho accept her DIL gaining such a high post wherein she will have so many serving her. With Sandhya's academic achievements, I feel she will start out earning more that Suraj.
Suraj is too pure at heart to care or feel jealous but I think that will be a big issue to others.

Loved your views Shreya, and it is true that most families detest seeing wife more successful than husband, though the scenario is slowly changing. Suraj's pure, selfless & unconditional love and support will allow Sandhya to be successful in achieving her dreams 😳 😃 😃

actually i want ankur to reveal it to suraj , he is the one who ruined her dreams ... now he knows suraj is very supportive and how much he loves his wife so this is the right time for ankur to do expiation then he can leave the decision to suraj ... otherwise i have no idea how sandhya will herself reveal her dreams to suraj especially after what bhabho said 🤔 since we know how much she respects bhabho...

now comes the general discussion..

When a family sends their DIL (like the Rathis will eventually do) out to IPS force to serve this great country, as few have done here and in other countries, knowing they may get killed, it seems that the family is putting country above family. Now, we can argue that the country we serve is ultimately there to serve our family, but still there are times when country comes first. 😊

i dnt think being a IPS officer brings that much risk to our lives , it is a very dignified post indeed n highest civil rank after IAS , people love to pursue such careers and prepare for exams for 2 or 3 yrs sacrificing their small small enjoyments ... and earn lot of respect , power , popularity once they achieve it ... and any parents would love to see their child as ips officer ...it is not a sacrifice actually , we hear of bomb blasts n everything but how many do we heard an ips officer also lost his life , it is very rare case may be 1 in 1000 ..so for such rare tragedies i dnt hink anybody would be hesitant towards such careers after all danger is everywhere , death can be at any place at any time ... it is not like sending their family member to a war field on olden days where there is 80% chance of death 😆 , if they return then it is a miracle 😆 ... in a country like india even a soldier's job is not that risky since our nation maintains peace with other countries, many people finish their services without a single war...

ips officers also have family n live happily with them but having a family with a saas like bhabho n live upto her expectations is impossible i would say 😆 unless bhabho changes her attitude for some remote reasons ...

Many people put their careers above their families, opting not to have a family,

😆 i dnt think anybody would opt not to have family for their careers unless there is some other underlying reason which they dnt reveal hence say this reason 😆

to curtail their families, or to work all week or for weeks on end without seeing their families. But then again, we work, ostensibly so that we can provide for our families. Yet do we sometimes put money and success above family? Do we sometimes overwork for someone supposedly so committed to family?

of course people work for themselves for their dignity , respect in the society etc eventually family will also be happy with this and get its benefits ...
even people who dont have family also work for their life ...

Then we have to ask, when we say that family is important to us, do we mean that the mere fact that we are related to such and such individuals is of paramount importance to us, or is it the relationship which we have with them which is so important? Do we mean that our time with our family is what is most important to us, or do we mean that we love our family very much?

depends on whom we have in our family ...

And what is family? Is family a place where we and those related to us eat and live together, or is family a social group which shares some values? If anyone's brother is a murderer, a thief or an immoral individual, is he still part of that family? Is a family only about love or is a family also about shared values?

differs for each family ...

So, Sandhya is still at the crossroads--> whether to serve her family full-time or to sacrifice a larger part of family life for serving the police force efficiently, and we all know, she will settle for the cause of police force & country in general, and Suraj will play a big role in helping her to achieve her dreams which she had been dreaming of since childhood. 😳

yeah we know suraj will help her ..waiting for that track 😳

overall a good discussion and a nice topic ⭐️

I think it is a misconception to think that Sandhya will earn more than Suraj after joining the IPS.WHILE CIVIL SERVICES OFFER YOU A LOT OF POWER ,RESPECT AND PRESTIGE,THE PAY SCALES ARE NOT MUCH UNLESS YOU MAKE MONEY THROUGH CORRUPTION. I think financially Suraj is quite well off especially after the prize money. It is the status which Sandhya will acquire after passing which may worry Bhabo.
