Thought Id make one topic for this since there are a million topics.
I just read the spoiler thread and I am so shocked and sad to hear Isha has quit. After all the effort she gets nothing but a pat on the back.
That act with the one-arm, really did nothing then. Very disappointed. All the hoopla for nothing.

*Feel free to disagree but don't expect a reply, will only reply if I feel like it won't be a waste of time*

My
2 cents about Isha's participation in JDJ5:

JDJ5 will always be remembered and associated with Isha. No matter who the winner is. It will always by synonymous with Isha Sharvani. Whether it's for her performances, her acrobatics/stretching, her aerial skills, her bad luck, the use of Veto, people bashing her, people praising her... etc

Whenever JDJ5 is mentioned only Isha will be the one mentioned and remembered the most. Some might not like to hear it but it's the truth.

For example, I didn't watch JDJ2-4 and I know of plenty of other people who didn't follow JDJ earlier seasons either, but majority know and remember Sushant was in JDJ4, Prachi in JDJ2 - not because Prachi was a winner or Sushant was not the winner but purely because of all the hoopla surrounding these two. Even Gauhar and Hard Kaur are mentioned more than the actual winner. JDJ1 is remembered because of Shveta (the runner-up) not Mona (the winner).

I watched this one episode of Law & Order (US) long ago where Julia Roberts was a guest star. Her character had this line:

'Poeple won't care what you did, who you slept with on Tuesday [in reference to something that happened in that episode], people won't know you. They'll know me because my name will be on that building. They won't know how it got there [by lying on the stand (in court), blackmailing and sleeping with influential people], but they'll know me. So whether you lie or tell the truth or think that I and you know the truth and that's enough, it doesn't really matter.'

It was on the same line of thought. I can't recall word-to-word dialogue. But after I watched this, it got me thinking and it's true. Even in JDJ5, this season will always be synonymous with Isha.

I am not saying all these remaining contestants aren't good enough. They are - they are in semi-finals based on scores and voting so they must have done something right. It's just that all the hoopla around Isha is overshadowing them.

So bottom line: who cares about the winner? A few years down the line, a decade down the line, the winner won't really be remembered but Isha - due to all the controversies/hate/love/like/dislike etc will be.

Is she a dancer or not a good dancer, few years down the line no one will really care.

So depends what one cares about: being famous and being remembered or becoming the winner and being forgotten a few years down the line?

p.s. I so wish Rithvik and Rashmi had not come as WCs. They should have come in the next season of JDJ5. It's not fair to their talent (forget about other contestants in the show).

p.s.s. please don't start another WCs unfair for other contestants, or use of veto unfair for remaining celebs discussion. There have been plenty of those and they all end up in bashing/more hate and more arguements.

*edited: please don't take this post as praising or bashing Isha or any other celeb, this post is just my observation comparing previous JDJ seasons and other shows/real-life events*

I am really SAD, she couldn't go to finals.. But I would like to make a Point...

ISHA dear, We love you.

No matter what, you have proved from DAY 1 , you are the best among all the participant this year...in fact probably the best one among all of the participants till this year participated in JDJ.

You have displayed you have mastered any forms of dance and proved to the world , you have been underrated by film -industry so far.

I wish you all the success and as Kjo mentioned, I hope the film industry really recognizes your talent.

in the end , I also want to thank you for being sportive, never ill-mouthed about anybody despite being targeted by all the undeserving candidates.

WAY to go ISHA.

Will wait for your movie...

Though I am GC fan and want him to win... I was looking forward to Isha's performance in final :( She undoubtedly exudes brilliance and grace like no others and has performed exceptionally so far.
