Which is worse?

Who do you think would get more respect in the filming industry? An average-looking actor with outstanding talent or a beautiful-looking actor with average talent?

and isnt that tough....There are so many other not so good looking actors,who are way more talented than the Eijazs and the Iqbals...But they dont get an oppurtunity too easily...Looking good definitely gives one an edge in the beginning of the career

i would go with the majority here as well, good looks do not garauntee talent. Before this whole newbie era in bollywood there were a lot of talented actors who were/are good looking (such as karishma kapoor, Dixit, Kajol, Manisha, Rekha, SriDevi, Jaipradha {sp}, Aamir, Shah Rukh, Salman, Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Kumar ) and they were oozing with talent.

I dont understand however why we have to comprimise nowerdays for either eye candy or a great performance but really no interest because they actor isnt appealing. I guess bollywood isnt trying hard enough these days because we only have a few truly talented and pretty actors (preity zinta, rani, ash) and we have the same guys from the 90's because we really havent found any fresh talent. (a couple are john, zayeed, and ash's old bf i forgot his name)
