I just watched Jennifer's TMLS and it was nothing too spectacular that made me go all wow. But it wasn't as bad as everyone is claiming it to be. It was a nice and simple story that had a lot to convey.

It was a story about two best friends who literally shared everything together. Right from childhood they had made plans and promises to spend their entire lives together. These two kids had created themselves a whole new future that consisted of each others companionship and support. When this future was brutally snatched from them, they trapped themselves. They forever stuck themselves in a time when they both loved each other. Where they waited for each other. They grew up and time moved on. But they weren't able to let go of each other. When they both met each other again, it was the inner child that spoke. It was the inner kids that sprang out to finally be reunited with their long-lost friend.

When Neeti was leaving with Vivaan, it was then that time finally caught up with her. Unknowingly, she had moved on with her life when she got married. It just took the opportunity of leaving with Vivaan to finally realize who she truly loves. In fact, it was necessary for Vivaan to return for her to come to that conclusion. Why? Because, Neeti had never been apart from her husband for a long period of time. I can bet that after Vivaan had left as a kid, she was never with another guy. She must have gotten straight into marriage and was with Akash ever since. And also when Akash had mentioned him leaving for a couple of days, Neeti jumped the chance to be with him. Clearly, she has never been far away from him to fully realize his importance.

Another matter which has been pricking me is about all the complaints regarding Jennifer's dialogues. I personally don't see what the problem is. We can tell that since childhood her character was a bubbly, vivacious girl. But in the present she is not. Why? Well, maybe it's because she has been traumatized. Don't forget that she saw her brother be engulfed in flames right in front of her. That is more than enough reason for her to go into trauma. She became more reserved and coy and only spoke when it was needed of her. And that was more than enough for me to appreciate her character.

I for one am glad that Jennifer got this TMLS. For if it was someone else, they just won't be able to emote the feelings, message as she did. Forget about the dialogues. Just look at her eyes and you can clearly tell what she is feeling. The pain, the anguish, the sweet memories, the cherish of fond memories, they were all emoted so well by her!

If anything, then yes I would have liked the TMLS to have been more longer. The extra minutes just could have done wonders for it! The extra editing and proper polishing would have made it one of the best. But nonetheless, this was done fairly well.

There is just one thing that I am unclear about. Some of you members had mentioned the two couples to be victimized. I understand how Vivaan's wife was treated unfairly, but what about Neeti and Akash? From Akash's behavior, I can fairly conclude that he really loves her. So how is Neeti victimized? Or did I mistake it and you all had actually meant that Akash is the victim?

Either way, Jennifer did a brilliant job as Neeti. 👏

A very well written post though I just found flaws and flaws in the TF U pointed out some major pointss to which i agree << i may re watch it again

I expected wayy too much from the TF so got disappointed but i agree it had a potential story and good things to convey but the Cvz dint bother to execute the TF well :|

Jenny and Ajay were Fab in their respective characters but sadly jen wasnt Given Much dialouges or scenes to show her potential :| n i agree what u have said abt jen she emoted all the emotionss very well <3
The whole TF revolved arnd Keith aka Vivaan but he was disappointing !! If he had emoted well the TF wud have bagged some more plus pointss

I love the post Gurleen! I do agree with a lot of the stuff you said and Jen undoubtedly shined in the TF and it was because of her that I watched it. Honestly, I was disappointed with the storyline because it seemed like they kept promoting a childhood love story and in the end she ended up with her husband which didn't make much sense to me. Also, some parts of the TF were rushed and it would've definitely been better if it was longer because i felt i didn't have an emotional connection with the characters at times, like at the end of the TF i didn't even feel sorry for vivaan when niti left him and chose akash.

I think there was something missing in the plot but i also agree that maybe the character of niti needed a separation from her husband to realise what he meant to her so maybe it was necessary for her to make a choice between her childhood love and her husband and maybe their separation made her realise what her husband meant to her. i guess it also meant she could move on from vivaan and not keep thinking what if i was with vivaan because she has now made her choice and so she got her closure and can now live happily with akash. idk if this makes sense :|

But i have to disagree with what you said about the dialogues. I thought it would've been so much better if they gave her more lines to say because that would've made it easier for us to relate to her and understand what the character was feeling. I felt very detached from niti's character at times because she hardly had anything to say. But yes, all her expressions were perfect and they showed all the emotions, so i believe only Jen would've been able to portray the character of niti so well. At times there was no need for her to say anything because her eyes and her expressions said it all. i still do feel though that there was more scope for the character and they could've explored it in more depth.

Oh and i did like the actor who played Akash, i thought he acted well but Keith disappointed me and the dubbing annoyed me so much at times :| I just couldn't really relate to the character of vivaan :|

Firstly, wonderful post. Great writing, enjoyed reading. :)

I agree it was necessary for Vivaan to come back in her life. As I see it, they both needed a closure to that fateful meeting all those years ago. Especially Neeti needed that to finally let go of her past and move on. Though I also believe that she had moved on but was holding back slightly.

As for the question about her being victimized, well the answer is no. No, she was not the victim in this case. What the members meant was that Akash was the victim in this marriage because Neeti was stuck in her past and never returned his love and care fully. Though personally I feel he wasn't really victimized as such but yes he was being unfairly treated to some extent. He deserved the same care and love from Neeti as he gave. But unfortunately he never got that until Neeti realized her love in the end.

Agree, the TF was not extra ordinary in terms of story and direction but it did offer a good decent watch. And both Jennifer and Ajay did a brilliant job in my opinion. :)

LOL exactly! i think the story did have a lot of scope but it was too rushed and i felt like it was moving too fast but if it wasn't like that and if Jen had more dialogues i think it could've been so much better :)

Hey Gurleen,

I loved how you explained her character...even I hadn't thought about this..like you know how she was such a bubbly character as a child but seeing her own brother burn right in front of her would make anyone reserved, right? I can't even begin to imagine such a scenario for myself!! yet even the present Neeti was trying to be happy...she acted quite bubbly while she was messaging her mom's head but yeah, seeing vivaan reminded her of her childhood memories and the pain she had to go through, including losing her own brother!!

and I have always felt and said that unlike vivaan neeti wasn't too busy remembering her past...she seemed quite happy with her husband...may be she had already accepted her destiny...this is where I think the directors could have used the remaining time to show her inner thoughts..but like you said her immediately saying she will accompany aakaah and all that proves she was happy with him and never had been separated from him...that is why she realized his importance even more while she was trying to go with vivaan!!
and yes, Jenny is among the few actresses who can emote only through her eyes, expressions, and body languages...she needs no dialogues...my only complaint is wish the direction and script was made little better and of course, they hadn't eaten away the remaining 30 mins lol

i know i mean sometimes expressions are enough and you can say everything with just expressions but at times you do need words to show how you feel :| i understand that in intense scenes you don't talk but she should've said more when she met him at the party or when she was at home with her husband! It felt weird that she said so little.

Thank you!

As fans, we all expect too much from their TFs because we want the best for them. And considering how the CVs already gave us such an amazing TF with KSG, we expected a lot more from them. If anything it is the CVs that let us down not Jenny. She did a LOT more than she was asked for.

Yes that is another thing. Keith just wasn't able to emote his feelings as well as Jenny did which is rather a big let down since he had a LOT more dialogues than she did.

Thank you so much. 😳
