For actor Hiten Tejwani, the news of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi returning to screens brought back a flood of memories. Known for his role as Karan Virani in the original series, Hiten is now stepping back into the same world he left behind 25 years ago.

Confirming his return ahead of the show’s season two premiere, Hiten shared that he will once again be seen as Karan. Speaking about the opportunity, he said it felt like a gift to revisit a role that defined a major phase of his career. “I was really happy. After all, how often does an iconic show like Kyunki come back? I just felt grateful to be a part of it again,” he said. Teasing what lies ahead, he added, “We are back as Karan and Nandini. How and in what way, that is something you will have to watch and find out.”

For Hiten, stepping back into the shoes of Karan after two and a half decades came with a wave of familiarity. “It was like coming home. Of course, there is always that process on the first day of figuring the character out again, but it felt easy. Familiar,” he reflected.

Despite the years that have passed, Hiten was quick to notice that not much has changed when it comes to her energy on set. “She is still the same. Despite everything she has achieved, she brings that same energy,” he said with a smile.
