So beautiful! Arnav wanting to spend the most time with his wife, talks about his property and being with NK, etc. was flawless.
I am not the emotional type, but I was at the hospital a while ago, and saw a patient (old woman) with brain tumor, and with low chances of survival. [If you are wondering what I do at the hospital, its kind of like my "hang around" spot...replacement for Starbucks - hate the coffee smell, but love the smell of hospitals...lol]
The entire week, she and her husband spent lots of time together, and talked of the past. The patient was faring along well, but then, the day of her surgery, her two daughters and a son came to visit her (along with her grandkids, etc.), and the husband just said, "You need to come back, for us, we will be waiting." And at that moment, the woman smiled and I could just see her getting stronger. It was a miraculous experience, even to an "outsider" like me, and that's when I truly understood why non-doctor family members often fly over from places to visit sick ones...it gives them the mental strength needed to fight the battle.
This chapter reminded me of that...so I just shared it.
