Arnav's eyes fluttered open; his body was aching. He tried to stretch; his eyes widened. He looked to his side and saw Khushi cuddled up against him. Her head was lying on his shoulder, her face pressed against his chest. Her chest was pressed to his side, one arm around his chest and one leg across his thighs. Arnav smiled, thinking, Crazy girl, look at how she sleeps! He slowly moved her arm and leg aside and moved her to the side. He got off the bed and stretched. His eyes widened; his arm on which Khushi's head had been resting was wet. Was she crying? He moved towards her and noticed her sleeping peacefully. He shrugged his shoulders and walked to the bathroom.

When he came out of the bathroom, Khushi was still sleeping. He moved closer and placed a kiss on her forehead. He walked downstairs and saw Nani and Manorama walking towards the door.

"Chotte? You are up already? It is not even 6. How are you feeling?" Nani asked, as Arnav walked into the living room.

"I am fine, Nani. Why do you ask?"

"No, Khushi said you were tired from the trip to Agra, so you slept in early."

Arnav was confused. He didn't remember going to bed at all. He looked at Nani and asked,"Nani, where are you off to so early in the morning?"

"Manorama and I are going to the temple. When Khushi bitiya wakes up, you both have breakfast, don't wait for us. Anjali bitiya has gone to stay with a friend. Payal bitiya and Akash bitwa have gone to attend Akash's friend's wedding in Jaipur. Hari Prakash went to his village last night, so Khushi bitiya might have to make breakfast for both of you."

Arnav nodded. That means Khushi and I are alone at home. Great! Oh wait, NK and Priya.

"Nani, how about NK and Priya? Did they go out as well?"

Manorama added. "Priya left for Lucknow yesterday and NK babua said he had to meet a friend and left hurriedly last night. I don't know when he is coming back. Come, sasooma, let's go before the puja starts."

Arnav smiled as he watched Nani and Manorama walk away. He had a naughty twinkle in his eyes as he walked to the kitchen.

Khushi's eyes fluttered as cold, wet fingers touched her bare waist. Her kurta moved up to expose her milky waist; expert fingers untied her pyjamas and slowly pulled it down. Khushi's eyes flew open and she sat up, resting on her elbows. Her eyes widened as she saw Arnav sitting at the end of the bed; his eyes met hers. There was a naughty smile on his face, as he pulled her pyjamas off her and jumped up on the bed.

"Arnavji?" Khushi started saying something, but he put a finger on her lips and shook his head. Arnav smiled and turned around to take something from the side table. Khushi saw a glass filled with ice on the side table and she watched Arnav pick up a cube of ice. Arnav had a naughty look on his face as he looked at her. Khushi looked at him confused and then let out a scream as she felt the cold ice on her leg.

"Arnavji?" Khushi started.. but Arnav shook his head.

"Sshh.. aaahhh…" Khushi said, as she felt him move the ice cube from her foot towards her knee.

When they pulled away, Khushi looked into his wet, tear-filled eyes and shook her head. "No, Arnavji, please don't worry. It's all in the past now. Priya is out of our lives. I promise you, no one can ever separate us! Our love is strong and there is no way anyone can break this sacred bond!" Arnav nodded, smiled and hugged Khushi. Suddenly Arnav screamed and pulled away. Khushi giggled as she watched Arnav struggling to pick something from his back. Arnav's eyes widened as he took out an ice cube; while they were hugging, Khushi had taken an ice cube from the glass and put it down Arnav's shirt. "Khushi..you will suffer for that.." Arnav said, looking at her angrily. Khushi screamed and got off the bed. Arnav chased her around the bed and finally they fell on the bed, Arnav on top of Khushi. Khushi was still giggling, Arnav had a naughty smile on his face as he pushed her wrists against the bed. The ice cube slid out in between his lips and Khushi's eyes opened wide. She shook her head, giggling as Arnav bent down and moved the ice cube down her neck and along her shoulders. He spit the cube out of his mouth and moved closer to suck the water droplets from her neck.

Khushi giggled, as she folded Arnav's shirt. After making love on the bed, Arnav had carried her to the bathroom. They had showered together; that had become a daily routine in the past few days. Arnav had then carried her back from the shower and made love to her again. Arnav had then chased her down to the kitchen. He could not keep his hands off her while she was making breakfast. Khushi had put the milk for boiling, when he finally lifted her and placed her on the counter. He had placed kisses on her neck and her shoulders after which they shared a wild passionate kiss, where Arnav had leaned closer to her, his hands resting on the counter on either side of her legs, her arms around his neck and their tongues exploring the deep corners of their mouths. They were so lost in each other that they didn't realize the milk had boiled over until Khushi had smelled the burnt milk and pushed Arnav away. And then started the soap fight, when Khushi tried to clean the stove and Arnav had sponged her instead and thrown water on her. Finally Khushi had gotten mad at Arnav for making the kitchen dirty and he had apologized and helped her clean up the kitchen.

Khushi blushed and touched her heart; it was still beating wildly. She blushed as she touched her neck; she could still sense his lips on her skin. She closed her eyes; she could still smell his cologne and feel his warm breath on her. She opened her eyes and touched her lips. He had kissed her on the lips at the door, just before he left for office.

Khushi's thoughts were interrupted when the phone rang. It was Anjali. "Di, is everything alright?" "Khushiji, I need your help. Come fast." "Di, what happened?"

"Khushiji, I tried calling Chotte, Akash and Mami. No one else is picking up. Please Khushiji, come fast." Anjali gave her an address and hung up the phone, before Khushi could ask anything else. "I wonder what Di wanted." Khushi asked out loud. She remembered NK's words. Until I am back, just promise me, you will be careful around Di. Promise me. Khushi shook her head. What are you thinking, Khushi? Di needs me. I should go to her. She stood up from the bed and picked up her bag from the recliner and hurried to the door.
