Dixie..Sugna was also married off at a young age ..(she was a Balika Vadhu)...but as per some custom she was living in her Mayka until the right age when she would be sent to her sasural. Despite this, she and her husband used to see each other chupke chupke even though the elders opposed. This led to her pregnancy as well. Well anyways, the fateful day when her husband and his baraat were supposed to come to her house (and there was marriage celebration preparation in full swing)- her husband got in an accident. She was dressed as a bride waiting for him to take her- but got his dead body instead. And yeah, people later discover she is pregnant. The guys family left her- claiming the would be child is not theirs and they don't want to do anything with such an 'abshaguni' ladki. And of course, those were the hey deys of DS's torture and Sugna had to live a brutal life of a widow and she was in permanent depression. Along came this young carefree guy (educated in a town- with new khayalat) and he fell for her and made it his lifes mission to provide her happiness. She opposed his match. His family did as well- considering she was a widow and expecting. But thanks to the Singhs acceptance of Shyam- they got SS married and then Sugna after marriage started feeling for Shyam and of course later- won the hearts of her new in laws as well. Phew. Hope that provided the gist. 😆

But, I feel for Anandi so much at this stage. She is pressurised so much from her family to marry Shiv and this guy also takes the opportunity and turns up in her house. Won't she be mad even seeing his face I wonder ? Shiv was right when he said to DS that Anandi might not like his presence in her house.

Agreed. She blatantly REFUSED Bhagos wish the first time she said it. Was even ready to go from there- showing how much she opposes this match. She is just NOT in that framework where she can think of marriage AGAIN. So for her to Shiv in front of her right after this shock must be a little irksome I guess.

Seriously. CANT relate to that show at ANY level. It reeks of insanity. And the bigamy track makes my blood boil. Don't know how people can be happy with the MM wedding - Its not a wedding people! Its a sham and disgrace and an insult to the word marriage. Sheesh. I wish that show ends before Big Boss returns.

Shyam's family - the uncle and dad were wackos particularly in the beginning and the whole situation was complicated due to the baby. AnSh situation from that perspective is also much much neater...but, u do have 2 very strong well developed personalities to breath life to current story. Also, Shyam was battling a ghost...Shiv is exterminating living Parasite.

LMAOOO...dude! I love your line in bold! Agreed- Sugna was kind of like perennially depressed...and of course..their story had a more rustic feel to it...the whole rural setting..but Shiv being Shiv (I will keep using this line of yours 😆) -their love story will be a mix of both- the rural and the urbane! 😆 And of course, their personalities like you said are MUUUCh different compared to SS. We have two VERRRY strong willed individuals...so it would be fun to see how they go about.

Having said that, I don't think BV CVs are gonna repeat the same track...I am just hoping they would do something different this time...

And the look she gave to him was more of an understanding wala look for me...

Hey Funky Junkie...Thanks! Thats what we are trying to speculate...Even though I agree that Anandi has started developing a soft corner for Shiv, is it enough for her to accept his hand in marriage? Its clearly not LOVE that she is feeling for him, not yet. She blatantly refused to marry him when Bhago first suggested it.

But then again, maybe you are right. That she has started liking him at a subconscious level but the very fact of marrying a second time is deterring and scaring her.

That remains to be seen. I am really looking forward to AS having a conversation post Bhago rituals- to see Anandis take on this entire marriage idea.

And I agree with you. Hope the Creatives do something different this time. Of course the fact that AS differ drastically from SS in their personalities gives us reason to hope. Also, BV now is a little more modern- especially with the introduction of Shiv. So AS love story won't be as rustic as the SS one.

And yeah, Anandis look has many different interpretations. I think when she first saw him- it was a mixture of shock/ surprise to see him there and then just a general look of helplessness - to have him see her being SO distraught.

And the second time around- when he offers to be the 4th pallbearer - I think she was resigned to the fact that yes, Shiv HAS in some way already become a part of the family- so its only natural he is doing this. So yeah, I agree with you- it was kind of an understanding look I guess.
