The rain kept on falling...

She couldnt lift her eyes. It felt like a heavy weight was put on her lids. It felt like gravity was directly working on her eyes, making her look at the polished white floor. The silence of the room was killing her. She wanted to say something. She wanted him to say something. Anything...anything to break the horrible barriers of the silence.

With all her might, she lifted her lids and looked up. And immediately regretted it. He was looking at her. The coldness in his eyes seemed to suck her soul within her body. She was so scared. He looked like a stranger. She wanted to run away from there but she couldnt move one inch from her spot.

"Uday main..." she started in a small voice but he lifted his hand and silence her. He shook his head at her. She was on the verge of tears. She hadnt felt so helpless before.

"Tumein kya chaiye?" He asked coldly. She looked at him not understanding his question. He understood her confusion and elaborated his question.

"It is simple Manyata. Tum jab bhi hamare paas aati ho, uske peeche tumhara koi na koi maqsad hota hai. Phir wo Yuvrani banne ke liye dosti ho ya mahal haasil karne ke liye sagai, tum ne jab jab hamari taraf qadam barhaye hain, har baar tum ne apna maqsad pura hone ke baad humein takleef hi di hai. Lekin ais baar nahin. Ais baar hum tum se koi umeed nahin bandhna chahte. So let's just cut to the chase! Tumein jo hum se chaiye wo humein bata do, hum tumein de den ge."

Can words be anymore painful? They seemed to pierce right through her body. She stared at him in disbelief. She wanted to say something to counter his words but her tongue seemed to be glued in her mouth? What would she say anyway? Whatever he was saying was true.

Tears threatened to fall any second. She didnt want to cry but couldnt help it. Despite her efforts of keeping it in, one tear slipped down her cheek. Udayveer saw this and smirked.

"Kamaal hai Princess! Rajwadon ke sare tareeqe seekh chuki ho tum? Maidaan mein aane se pehle hathyaar lana nahin bhooli. Kuch kehne ke liye nahin hai tou apne ansuon se humein piglana chahti ho?"

It hurt. It hurt her so bad. She wanted to run away from there. Something was clawing at her heart, ripping it apart. There was pain in her chest. It was proving it hard to breathe. She was losing control. She looked down again and a few more tears found their way out.

"Tum janti ho hum tumein ais tarah rota hua nahin de sakte..." his voice was gentler this time. Manyata looked up. He was smiling; she had never seen a sadder smile on anyone's face before.

"Lekin hum majboor hain. Ais baar hum tumein wo nahin de sakte jo tumein chaiye..."

"Please Udayveer! Sirf ek mauqa do. Ais baar main-"

"Ais baar kya Manyata? Ek aur vaada, ek aur jhooti tasalli, ek aur umeed humein do gi? Humein do pal ki khushi aur zindagi bhar ke sapne dikha ke tum phir hamare jazbaaton ke saath khelogi! Ek baar phir hamari mohabbat ka mazak uraogi!"

"Nahin!" she shook her head vigorously! "Nahin, main ais baar aisa kuch nahin karungi. Please mera yaqeen karo...mujhe tumhare saath ki zaroorat hai." Her tone was that of a helpless beggar. He rolled his eyes and shook his head at her.

"Kitni ajeeb baat hai? Jab tumare paas koi nahin hota, tab tumein hamari yaad ati hai. Tab tumein kabhi hamari yaad nahin ati jab tum khush hoti ho? Tum ne humein samajh kya rakha hai? Tumare sare masle solve karne wali koi machine jo har baar ankh band karke tumare ek ishare pe tumare peeche ajaenge despite the way you treat me?" His voice was so cold, his tone so harsh, his words so true. Manyata prayed that the earth would split and swallow her whole. This shame was unbearable. The sword of naked truth was cutting her open. It hurt..

"Lekin ais baar hum ye sab afford nahin kar sakte. Tum ne humein jaise treat kiya, wo hum bardasht kar chuke hain. Waqt ke saath bhula bhi denge. Lekin hum Jaigarh ko dau pe nahin laga sakte. Kya bharosa, humse shadi karne ke baad, Jaigarh ki maharani banne ke baad phir tumara mood badal jaye aur tum humein aur Jaigarh ko laat maar dobara apne kisi purane rishte ke galle mein banhein daal do."

She was shocked. She felt like her knees would fail her any second now. She wanted him stop saying another word but she had no right. He was right. His fears were right. Seeing her past actions, Udayveer was justified to say such things about her. People always looked at your past experience to judge you...Udayveer was doing the same.

"Princess. Hum tou shayad zindagi bhar tumari galiyan sunte rahen aur kuch bhi na kahen. Lekin Jaigarh ke log ye nahin seh paenge. Aur frankly, hum ye chahte bhi nahin. Tum ek achi beti na ban saki, achi behen na ban saki, achi yuvrani na ban saki; hum kaise maan len ke tum ek achi maharani ban sakti ho?"

I am incredibly impressed! One the start is fantastic- I am completely pulled in. Two you wrote this on your phone? I am pretty skilled with my phone, but I could have never done that!!! Kudos! I hope you continue this soon!
