Should FilmMaker cast Abhay Deol in Films BO Wise?

TOPIC: Box Office Wise.

Disheartened by his latest biggest failure of career "Shanghai", Abhay Deol is now in question of many trade analyst as what went wrong with this Talented Actor. 7 years in Industry, he has manage to give only 2 Hits Dev.D, ZNMD. Rest all are either Average, flop or even complete washout without any name like Road, the movie.

Out of his 11 films, 2 films turning out to be some success, his films has given huge loss to producers and distributors. His films don't have any Bumper Openings, hardly he has any fanbase which can give some earning to his films' makers. he doesn't have any Star Value.

Only thing Abhay has achieved is Critical Acclaim, which is not sufficient for Makers to trust on, as it won't Guarantee any success, otherwise Shanghai would have been big hit even though collection 100% positive reviews.

Should Producers & Distributors give him another chance to be in their films?

MultiStar Yes, there is less risk.

Why the Flop blame on Abhay only ? was not Emran promoted more than Abhay ?

The day Film makers will decide to boycott or will think NOT to cast Sonam and Deepika bcz they r Fail at BO then only they shld think anything abt Abhay ... btw Imran Khan is also in the line before Abhay

Dev D and OLLO were Abhay's solo hits ...and BO doesn't matter all the time so answer is No , they should NOT think so , Movies become flop bcz of other lots of reasons not only Hero

Would u say the Same if as a producer u invested 6-10 Crore & in return u get only 1 Cr?

Whoever is making film with Abhay, needs his money back or why would he make film considering the mehngaayi which is touching skies.

if other movies can recover its cost frm so many other sources like Satellite , music rights etc etc etc why Not Shanghai ?

I am sure it has recovered its cost ... i haven't watched any detail review but i m sure ...

and only music rights must be more than 1 Crore so producer got more than 1 crore for sure

btw if movie was a hit , wld it be Abahy's Hit or Emran's hit ? bcz right now i m seeing its only Abhay's Flop ...

he acts so good and his dimpled cheeks are cute.. I don't care if Producers money go down the drain.. he is a good actor and I enjoy his work.. Yet to watch Shanghai..

He was the solo hero in Aisha too right? Like he was the male lead and Aisha was a avergae-hit too..

SNT is one of the best romantic movies ever.. sooo cutee..

agree ...thats why i said Box office does not matter always ...one needs to do good work too

SNT is Imli's best work Till date ... I don't know why movie didn't do well , i don't care it didn't do wqell or what was the reasons but movie was just outstanding ... almost everyone loves this movie whoever watched it and its a DVD Hit just Andaaz Apna Apna
