Akshat acts impulsively but I won't call him selfish. Like someone already said, he just lacks confidence and before every performance he needs to be assured that he is good dancer and Angad has always given him that assurance by telling him that he is the best and that's what he has started believing, Angad has always been very protective of him and maybe that's why Akshat doesn't know what is it like to lose, and I think that explains his behavior on seeing someone else perform better and his fear of losing.

I feel even if it wasn't a Meenakshi v/s karishma situation even then Akshat would have reacted the same way because he knows Karishma isn't exactly a "good girl" and his protective instincts for his brother would have made him react in a similar way and after his talk with Meenakshi, he did understand Angad's POV to some extent and he wanted to wish him but I guess he just didn't know what to say, but then, An calls him tubelight for a reason😆

I'm sure as the show progresses, we will see changes in him and who knows, he might surprise us in the end.

if u r asking that akshat is selfish or not then my answer is no.

it is true that in the beginning of the show akshat only used to care about himself. his only goal was to show his performance in his best way. but many circumstances and experiences in ASA show has changed his entire life including his personality. involving with meenakshi in a relationship has a great impact in akshat's life. the guy who had no brave to share his own view to his parents, can now tell them without fear that whom he does love and what he needs.

now also he cares for his brother angad more than he used to do before. when he learned about the conspiracy against angad that bobby did in one of the recent episodes, he didn't waste a single second and fought with bobby. he did these all only the sake of his brother without caring that he was going to perform next.

And the same Akshat now wants to see the best performance from her girlfriend(u know who). it's not always necessary to say "all the best" to your closest people. because the dearest one listen to what you don't say. 😊

Interesting Post Bhanu, He has been at fault several times , so I still consider him selfish,

He does only think about himself bottling down all the permutations and combinations surrounding him... I will keep it there, Yet to see him improve, People who needed to tell him things have already spoken so hope it works for his betterment and Duniya sirf No 1 ko janthi hsi dialogue which he gave initially he is till holding that where as somewhere the No1 may be taken by someone who is seen better in the eyes of the masses.. Acknowledging someone elses potential is very important in the growth of ones character growth then only one can truly be an all rounder in people's eye.

If That works in his favor then I would say he is not selfish and he is attaining to being selfless...

This is strictly my opinion and what i put forth.

Very good observations... What I understand now is, because he belives Karishma is bad and his brother is geting to close to a wrong person, he reacted this way - showing his protective side...

@Purple : I guess Akshat has the impulsive nature from the beginning so I do not see that as a change in him to fight with Bobby... He must have done that before also... What I was trying to understand was will he react the same way for the benefit of his brother when a situation arsies where the interest of himself or meenakshi is at stake against his brother's interest.
Karishma actually asked the same question to Anagad... "If Akshat asks for his happiness at the sake of your happiness what you will do?" Means its a believed fact with people around him that Akshat keeps his happiness as priority over any one else...

Shanti I agree that Akshat in the path of becoming compassinate. His frist step was to notice Meenakshi's feelings and then he also corrected himself when he realized he behaved badly with Sameer. He also told " I am bad" and tried to analyse what mistake he did and corrected himself.
