Wonderful analysis and I agree with you...However unconditional one's love is it
shouldn't be to the extent that its detrimental to you and to the very people whom you love...Its very
important to be able to put a restraint also...
As I mentioned in one of my other posts its important not to get carried away in our need to shower
love and pamper but, should also enforce discipline and even punishment if needed...Just hope
Indira develops strength to overcome her excessive need of love towards her family...Otherwise
its like driving a car without a brake...sooner or later going to harm everyone in the car along
with the driver...

Wonderful post,and a good topic.
Indira, the character of 'HD',is drawn to mirror any ordinary person from the real world;and in the real world,I believe no one is 'god-like',as this character has been shown lately. We are human beings, who have ego, pride, jealous,in each one of us,though may be in different proportion. And when a character of a work of fiction is drawn, especially in content with the contemporary world, that character has to be as lively as us,as human as us.And Indira,as portrayed by the writer, has been turning "god-like",who is purely selfless, and always forgiving. This is unrealistic and unacceptable. In the initial story-line Indira has been shown as a strong person, self righteous, stands for truth,no matter how bitter it is;one, who never lets anyone to break her principles in life. She has been a caring daughter,a sister,an aunt, and a friend too(to Rishi);but she never let anyone to take advantage of her love back in the start of the story. So what happened now?and to this question most of us would say that,Rishi has transformed her as a person.Right,Rishi's love has changed her, made her realize the meaning of being a woman, made her more humble. But change doesn't mean we change our principles in life,we no longer see what is right and what is wrong;change doesn't mean we change who we are,the inner self. And sadly the writer has recently changed the 'inner-self' of Indira, with whom we can no longer relate to.
Indira loves her family and lives solely for them-this is the message,I think the writer is trying to convey to us.But has the writer mysteriously forgotten what the word 'family' means?Family doesn't mean to have a bunch of members, family doesn't even mean to have the riches, family doesn't necessarily mean to have a blood tie.Family means to have people around you,who loves you,and whom you love back, family means to share the good and bad times together;family means to be there for each other when the time calls;family means to not only form a relationship with each other, but to carry on the responsibility of the relations that are intertwined;family means to love each other unconditionally, with each other's flaws and qualities. And if we see the 'family' of Indira Sharma, that the writer have created,it doesn't even come close to the definition of family.Accepting Rishi in her life, accepting him as her husband, makes him a part of Indira's family. And sha has certain duty towards him too;to be loyal to him,to support him in' sickness and in health',in good and in bad times. Therefore there is no question about choosing family over Rishi,as he is also family now.The creator of the protagonist might have forgotten that Indira has been presented as a strong person, whose loyalty towards her family can never be questioned, whose honesty and simplicity are her greatest powers. Thus,it is not Indira, but the script-writer,who needs to learn to show her characters with the same intensity as they were portrayed;to learn not to deviate from reality.

Jem...
Fantastic analysis ( as always ) and Totally Spot on . 👏
Loved reading everybody's wonderful Inputs here . 😊
Any attempt at the Justification of this Fatal flaw in Indira's personality in the name of " Unconditional Love " for her family is almost an Insult to not only our intelligence but to the meaning of love and Family itself .
The Condoning ... Pampering and Indulgence of the misdeeds of her so called Family by Indira , despite all their Cruelty ... the continuous barrage of Indignities and heartless Taunts that this pack of Vultures , throw at her daily , defies all sense . 😡
Indira is supposed to be a Modern , Educated , Intelligent and Independent woman of Today ... and in this day and age how anybody can tolerate this Rubbish is Incomprehensible ... how can any Sensible person with the slightest Intelligence put up with this ... and now with the Kidnapping and almost Murder of RISHI , these Crazy , Dysfunctional traits of her " Family " have actually turned downright Criminal.. 😡
Why are the CVs turning Indu into this Blind , Brainless Slave to her family ?? 😕 By no stretch of the word can they be called her " Family " ... The fact is that they are a Pack of Leeches sucking away not only her Money but all her Happiness and Peace ... and the sooner she realises this fact ... the fact which is actually staring her right in the face ... the better it will be not only for her , but for all of them too .
As you have rightly said ... " she needs to cut the Apron strings " ... otherwise she will end up feeding these Destructive tendencies of her family bordering on the Criminal , endlessly ... and that shall not be " Love " but " Doom " for all of them .

Indira's family has always been useless and I never did expect anything from them. I thought that over time, they'd come to understand her and they'd come close. Ishaan used to misunderstand her all the time till he finally realised how much Indira does for them while the rest take them for granted.
Sunaina: when she found out she was pregnant there was the incident when she went to get an abortion cuz she realised that her husband's useless etc and had Indira support her but then later apologized to Munna for whatever she said. Indira's the reason her son's getting educated and her daughter was able to come into this world but she's not very grateful.
Mandira: Biggest disappointment. First she had run away and Indira and Rishi went looking for her and just for her, Indira and Rishi got married. She was thankful for a bit but then went back to her ways. Then the rape track. Indira stood by her and was there in her time of need and helped her get through it. I thought that finally the sisters will be together and this would help bring them closer. Again, maha disappointed.

Point is, Indira's family has never understood how much she does for them and they just continue to use them. I haven't watched this week's epis so not sure what's going on Inder so I wont say anything on that but I'm probably gonna be disappointed there to (though I hope I'm wrong).

Keeping all this in mind, the question is, why does she continue to support her family? They don't need her but I guess she's not able to let go. It's probably the mentality that she has that no matter how they are, they're still her own and she can't distance herself away from them. Though they don't love her, she loves them and I guess she stays with them not because they need her (or did, since she's not unemployed?🤔) but she needs them because she wants that sense of belonging. I'm losing track of my thoughts now and feel like i'm just rambling so I'll just stop😆

Cutting apron strings and letting them learn how to fend for themselves is "unconditional love"!

continual enabling of their bad behavior is not "unconditional love" but a deeply rooted powerful psychological dependency on abuse/martyr complex.

^ i really agree with your post Jem & esp with this part of your post. it sounds terrible to say but it's high time Indira leave the Sharmas to sink or swim! there is only so much one should tolerate; family or not! and i agree that Indira has a psychological dependency as you put it, on getting abused & mistreated by them, yet still bearing it & doing everything for them. obviously it's not easy to leave your family, b/c at the end of the day they are your family and attachment will be there. yet its important to not allow oneself to be abused (mentally & or physically) and i think she is doing so by staying at SN.

its an unhealthy relationship and dangerous imo, not unconditional love! because to do everything for those who don't acknowledge you, and don't reciprocrate love, and say hurtful/spiteful things to you,& get happy when you leave the house, & don't give two hoots when your in jail (that too wrongfully) is just wrong. yes it is deff hard to cut the apron strings, and maybe you will still care for them after cutting it, and that is ok, but you should not stay and tolerate the abuse!

i understand the emotions she has for them to an extent, but i think its high time she separates her emotions for them (which are fine) from the need to stay in an unhealthy relationship with them (staying at SN & suffering from them). and i agree that there is a role of victim & martyr here that results from how Indira is so used to being treated by them, and thats why her dependency on them is so deeply rooted today.

thats why even though she gets hurt by them, she still cares for them.. she can't break this bond of being attached so easily. maybe they'll show this bond break gradually or maybe one day she'll just crack from them and completely break this dependency & attachment in one go. i think it will go either way.

@ ironical thing is--

she needed for some other person --that is rishi
she always got what she wanted from her family--that is from rishi.
she got unconditional support and unconditional love from some one--that is rishi.

but for indira always--family comes first--that to over rishi.

she getting what she always wanted or yearned.
but why she not taking it.
why she taking rishi for granted??

lead of show loosing sympathy of viewers on precisely on this point--
when viewers get disappointed with lead itself--then show going to loose trp.

earlier she was not so much attached to family even though she always supported them.she used to leave home when she gets angry on family members.it was rishi who bought her home couple of time pacifying her.
some how now her love for family increased manifold--and she not thinking to leave home anymore.now her love for family become totally unconditional.

cvs need to correct this soon if they want to run HD for longer.
just bringing rishi back wont work for HD anymore.

i think the cvs need to show the next track being based on this

indira leaving the family for her and her husbands safety

or rishi hmself after being subject to torture kidnapping and almost death
is not the saint that he was is doesnt want anything to do with the family anymore

and he moves out of the house
giving an ultimatum to indira to stay with her family and suffer or start a new life with him

i think this could be a very good track and can bring in massive trps

question is will the cvs turn a blind eye to everything the audience wants again
because its clear everyone hates the sharmas trps are a reflection of that now😆

i think some time outside sn will not only bring in more viewers
it will bring back the viewers who left because the main lead is missing and the extreme negativity in the show

not only me my mom for example cant stand indira now
so basically a lot of the audience feel the same way

she hates kutumb and sunaina and changes the channel whenever they come onscren😆

so if all ur supporting actors are negative and are hated by the masses whos gonna watch them
i hpe cvs have a good track planned next

if they plan on continuing with sumeer or worse introduce a triangle i say its a huge opportunity wasted the'indira leaving sn plot' should be next

Agree what you said in blue.👍🏼
I think after rishi's comeback she should move away from besharmas(except Ishan, Vidit and Seher) and SN with her beloved Rishi❤️❤️
