Khushi's confusion and repentance is justified due to Arnav's contradictory actions! And you know, why so! Because all those emotions that he long ago buried inside his heart, and never let out, is now confusing him and making it terribly tough for him to express them openly to anyone for that matter! Even his Di!
I watched the repeat telecast of Heer-Ranjha Episode, and noticed that even his voice was trembling slightly as he said those words, which were actually pouring out of his heart. And being a man of less words, it was hard somehow for him to say that too, and even his face...His blank face, was making it awkward for me to go with the flow of his words, that was pouring out his mouth on stage.

I coudnt agree more, his expressions, his feelings, the turbulence in him, its all too senstive to take in, and poor him, he hardly knows how to counter all of it. Part of him is scared, some betrayed, a huge part angry, and the rest confused.
