Anupamaa: Prarthana is out of danger; Parag and Rajini are exposed

In tonight’s Anupamaa episode, Rahi pulls Prem aside for a private conversation. Prem curiously asks her where she picked up a particular habit, and Rahi casually replies that she learned it from her husband. In a playful mood, Prem mimics Rahi, leading to a light-hearted moment between the two as they drift closer. Rahi notices how calmly Prem puts up with her mood swings, and Prem responds with a smile, saying that it is a husband’s responsibility to lovingly manage his wife’s tantrums. From a distance, Prerna watches the growing closeness between Prem and Rahi, quietly observing their bond.

Mahi tries to create misunderstandings

Elsewhere, Gautam nudges Mahi to approach Prerna. Acting on his suggestion, Mahi tries to fill Prerna’s mind with doubts by claiming that Rahi and Prem are far from happy together. She insists that Prem only began smiling again after Prerna returned and adds that he is burdened by Rahi’s dominating behaviour. However, Prerna soon notices Prem and Rahi enjoying each other’s company. Seeing through Mahi’s words, Prerna asks her to stop being envious of Rahi and instead focus on finding happiness in her own married life the way Rahi and Prem have. This blunt response leaves both Mahi and Gautam visibly irritated.

The festive mood continues as the Shahs and the Kotharis come together to perform Garba. Leela encourages Ansh to join the celebrations while she chooses to stay back with Prarthana. Prarthana urges Ansh to go enjoy himself and also requests Leela to dance with the others. Leela explains that she cannot leave Prarthana unattended, but Prarthana reassures her by pointing out that the entire family is nearby. Eventually, Leela agrees and jokingly says she is ready to compete with Vasundhara on the dance floor. Before leaving, she firmly instructs Prarthana not to wander off.

Rajni’s conversation with Anupama hints at deeper intentions

At the chawl, Rajni calls Anupama and is taken aback when she spots Prerna with her. Bharti and Varun extend festive wishes to Anupama, and Anupama warmly praises Bharti. Bharti asks Anupama to return soon, but Anupama tells her to enjoy the Makar Sankranti celebrations. Rajni assures Anupama not to worry, promising that the festival will be celebrated at the chawl in a unique and unforgettable manner. She then asks Bharti if she truly feels happy living there. Bharti admits that she initially had reservations about Rajni because of her political background but now believes she is different from the rest. Rajni remarks that politicians are not inherently bad; circumstances often shape them that way. She further asks Bharti whether she would judge her if she ever had to take a tough decision for the welfare of society. Bharti firmly says she would not. Rajni and Varun exchange knowing smirks after this conversation.

Back at the celebration, an alarming moment unfolds when Prarthana suddenly collapses. Panic grips both the Shahs and the Kotharis as she is rushed for medical help. The doctor later reassures everyone that Prarthana is out of danger. Ansh and Khyati grow emotional upon seeing her safe. Anupama shares that she prays daily for her children’s well-being and says that if anything were to happen to Prarthana, she would lose faith in her prayers altogether. Overcome with guilt, Leela blames herself for not taking proper care of Prarthana.

Anupama fiercely protects Ansh and takes responsibility for Prarthana

The situation escalates when Vasundhara starts accusing the Shah family and lashes out at them. Gautam joins in, holding Leela and Anupama responsible. Parag regrets allowing Prarthana to stay at the Shah house. Anupama strongly counters him, pointing out that members of the Kothari family were also present and questions why they failed to look after Prarthana. Ansh remains deeply worried for his wife, but Parag, in a fit of rage, throws a shoe at him.

Anupama immediately confronts Parag, reminding him that in their culture, a son-in-law is to be respected, not humiliated. Parag then goes a step further and hits Ansh. Anupama steps in to protect Ansh, leading to a heated argument between her and Parag. She assures him that she will personally take responsibility for Prarthana’s care until she fully recovers. Meanwhile, Leela continues to drown in self-blame, while Vasundhara dismisses her remorse as mere drama.

Later, Parag visits Prarthana and decides that she will be taken back to the Kothari house. Prarthana expresses that she feels secure around Ansh and Leela. Parag tells Anupama that once the baby is delivered, he will take both Prarthana and the child back with him. He reminds Anupama of the promise she made and sternly warns her that if anything happens to Prarthana, she will be held accountable. Anupama reassures him once again. Ansh adds that he will not stand in the way if Prarthana herself chooses to return, but Parag firmly states that his decision is final.
