Saarvie Omana, who is currently seen as Simran in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s Tumm Se Tumm Tak, produced under the banner Studio LSD, shared her thoughts on how twists and turns shape an actor’s performance. While her character has not yet been affected by major changes in the storyline, Saarvie believes that twists are an important part of any show. She explained that even when the story does not immediately impact her role, it still creates space for growth and stronger performance.
She said, “Right now, the twists and turns of this show aren't affecting my character much. But I'm waiting for it to give some good twists to my character so that it opens up more space for performance.” For Saarvie, changes in the storyline give actors the opportunity to explore different sides of their characters and bring something new to the screen.
Why Sudden Turns Make Performances Stronger
Talking about how she looks at unexpected developments in the story, Saarvie said she always tries to stay positive. According to her, surprises in the narrative make acting more powerful and meaningful. “I always approach it positively because sudden or unexpected turns make it more powerful to perform. You get a chance to change something about your character if it allows you to do that. So, sudden and sharp turns make it more important,” she shared.
She also pointed out that how challenging a twist is depends on what is expected from the character. “It actually depends on what they want from the character. If it's a normal change or demand, then it's okay to adapt. But if it's out of the box, then it's quite challenging,” Saarvie said, explaining that not all twists are the same, and some require much more effort and preparation.

The Importance of Adaptability in Daily Shows
Saarvie also revealed that she enjoys doing negative drama, as it allows her more freedom as a performer. “It gives you so much space to perform. I like negative drama because you're free to perform whatever or however you want to,” she said. This shows how much she values roles that allow her to experiment and express a wide range of emotions.
She believes adaptability is one of the most important qualities for any actor. “As an artist, we have to be adaptable because you never know when you have to portray what. Sometimes you're crying, and then suddenly there's something you're laughing about. If we're open to adapting anything, it becomes really easy to perform,” Saarvie explained.
Teasing what lies ahead for the audience, she concluded, “I'd say maybe their wait is about to get over. They can get a good surprise as an audience for which they were actually waiting for a long time.”
