KUSHI

She was trying to pull out a tshirt for arnav,arnav stepped in the room quietly, "click" kushi heard the door lock.she turned around and was surprised to find herself alone ,with arnav.

Arnav took a step forward.he had a teasing smile on his face.he started unbuttoning his waistcoat.kushi got testy.she felt goose bumps rise on her skin and not to mention a jolt somewhere in her abdomen!!!!

"What are you doing?why have you locked the door?look,don't come closer. Or else ill scream now!!!!"

"O really?for what are you going to scream for?that I am coming closer to you?kushi kumara gupta SINGH RAIZADA!!!!!!!"he asked her emphasizing on the last two words.

he was so close to her that he was breathing down on her.somehow the stench of his sweat and the odor of his perfume together were so appealing to her all of a sudden.all her anger and hatred seemed to have melted in the strong emanation.

"hey DM,,,don't let him come any closer!!!."

And then,when she was about to blurt out at him,he grabbed his tshirt which was held in kushis hand.he removed his shirt as well,kushi closed her eyes instinctively.

still, she could feel his breath,"god'."she could not resist taking in the waves of warmth that seem to be coming from him,,,,it was as if as, if she could not breath without it,as if she needed to hold on to that if she needed to live.she has never before craved for him this way.

She heard arnav snap his fingers in front of her face.she opened her eyes slowly.he was looking so cute in a pale blue tshirt,almost childlike.she liked him this way rather than his exquisite business man look or his shirtless,gourgeous ASR look.she thought he looked very charming ,innocent and lovable in this attire.

She came out of her trance and started walking towards the door.but in her haste to reach the door she slipped and fell onto arnav.the force of her body pushing them onto bed.they were both entangled.hair,arms dupatta and what worse,kushis MS had hooked to a piece of worn out wool on arnavs tshirt!she could not get up.ASR rolled over,now he was on top of her.he gave her a very intense look.trying to deduce what she going through her mind.kushi was confused.part of her yearned to hug him,to cry on to his shoulder,to punch him.but another part of her had no feelings for him except resentment and hatred.that was also the part which was more pronounced in her eyes.

"be careful kushi,you are fighting a never ending battle.you will never win!dont hurt yourself!"

"there is noyhing much in me to be hurt.because that was already done by you."

With that she pushed him off,untangling her MS and pulling her duppatta from under him,she stood up.adjusted her clothes and bustled out of the room.the elders were relieved to find arnav alright.

Nani spoke first,requesting kushi to come back home,as it is she who should look into everything.and kushi could not waive nani jis request.so she agreed to go,but

"nani I cannot come today because amma and bauji will be coming back from lukcnow tommorow.but I promise I will come tomorrow."she said with a smile.

"That's fine kushi,I will send arnav tomorrow to pick you up."

kushi gave arnav a cold stare.and with that ,their discussions over,the ladies stood up to leave.they were walking out of the door towards the car.kushi and arnav were left alone.

"hmm''"sighed arnav loudly,looking at her.

somehow he felt as if kushi has changed.as if it was only her arrogance holding her back and not anger or hatred.he bent towards her and planted a quick kiss on her cheeks.!!!

Kushi was stunned.her eyes went round,her mouth fell open and her hand flew to her mouth."hai DM!!!..."arnav did not pause to look at her.he went out quickly.kushi stood rooted to the spot.

She could not explain why.she herself feared that she was melting,she felt herself floating.and for the rest of the day she was very cheerful.it was as if there was another force inside her.a force that was slowly driving away all her hatred and obliterating the pain she felt.she did have a good guess about what it might be.but was not ready to admit it.

The next morning kushi was surprised to see a letter addressed to her on the door step.she opened it,and was jumping up and down after finding out the contents of the letter.it was a "call for interview letter".she could not believe that she got a reply so quickly.it can only be because the interview due date was today and it will be at 10.00 o clock.it was 8.45 now!she called buaji and told her the good news.she went to DM and prayed that everything goes well.she started to get ready,when she was done she hurried out of the room,gobbled up two rotis which buaji had served for her,gave buaji a quick hug and hurried out of the house.only halfway did she remember that she had forgotten to take her bag.she went back in to retrieve it and when she was about to keep a foot outside the door she remembered that she had left behind the letter!she went back again to fetch the letter and rushed outside leaving behind a very bemused looking bua.

She hailed a taxi and directed to ashraya nursing home.she arrived there at ten past ten.she was so edgy.she paid the taxi and went inside praying DM all the way through.she was given directions to the manager's room by a nurse at the counter.kushi flew up a staircase to the second floor.and she stopped at the landing to catch her breath.when she looked up she found herself in an empty hallway with an open door at the end.she went to the door and knocked, without looking in.she was ordered to enter.there,behind a massive desk,sat a man.a very handsome and tall man in his late twenties.the two of them froze when their eyes met.

"YOU?"cried kushi.
