An estimated of 30,000 children died in the East African drought that occurred in 2011.

An easthquake of 8.9 magnitude strikes Japan on March 15, 2011.

High instability, rich Gulf of Mexico moisture, strong jet stream, and a strong area of low pressure met at the right time to create a deadly outbreak of tornadoes from April 25 through April 28 in the US Southeast.

A violent and destructive EF-5 Tornado with winds exceeding 200 miles per hour formed and destroyed the city of Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011.

A tropical storm hits Washi in Phillippines in the on December 15, 2011 in which a minimum of 2000 people lose their lives.

These are just 5 of the innumerable natural disasters that occurred in the year 2011.

The year 2011 has experienced some of the most destructive disasters which forced some people to believe in the December 21st, 2012 theory.

Is the world really ending in 2012?
Are we living the last few moments of our lives?
Would we see the dawn of December 22nd 2012?
^These are some questions, we can't find an answer to.

But, we are sure of one thing- Our Earth is Changing.
Changing-For-The-Worse.

Recall the number of times you have switched on the air conditioner when you could manage without it.
Recall the number of times you have thrown a plastic on the road saying you won't from next time.
Recall the number of times you carelessly kept the water flowing saying its ok!
Recall the innumerable times when you have directly or indirectly harmed the nature!

Ask yourself!

Are you not a cause of the Global Warming that's on the rise?
Are you not a cause of polluting the Earth?
Are you unknowingly destroying Earth's environment?

Some people did ask themselves these questions.
That's the reason they came up with the Earth Day!

April 22nd marks the International Earth Day, an event now in its 42nd year, observed in above 170 countries.

On the Earth Day, events are held throughout the world, to increase the awareness and appreciate the Earth's Natural Beauty.

The theme of 2012's Earth Day is "Mobilize the Earth".

.
How many times have you tried to do something for the Earth, but you couldnt, simply because you were alone?
Have you ever felt ashamed of doing something for our environment?
How many times have you planted saplings?

How many times have you stopped people from throwing waste on the roads and directed them to do so in the bin?
Have you ever stopped people from spitting openly?

If your answer to any of these questions is a NO, then it's time to buck up!

India-forums.com is filled with energetic people who have the capacity to bring about a change- a revolution.

It is high time we do something for the Earth which has given us so much.

It is OUR turn to return the favor. It is OUR turn to act.

Go Green.
Reduce-Reuse-Recycle.
Clean your appliances on a regular basis. Maintain your vehicles.
Save Electricity and use water smartly.
When you can walk that small distance, do not drive. It saves fuel and also money.
Go Vegetarian once a week.
Save paper. Write on both sides of paper and use one less paper napkin.
Fly with an e-ticket.
Use re-chargeable batteries.
Pay your bills online.

On the Earth Day, the Crazy Creatives have compiled some questions for you to answer.
Do answer them honestly. Let us get together and Save OUR Earth.

Regards,

What do you do to make sure that you don't waste the Earth's resources?
Whats one thing you think is a big waste of energy? Have you cut down on wasting energy?
Do you think you are doing enough from your side, to stop global warming?
What have you done to check the rising global pollution?
What do you think can be done, on the global platform, to slow global warming?
Do you believe in the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle policy? Do you follow it?
The best way to reduce pollution is to plant trees. Do you go green?
Had you been the Environment Minister of a country, what would have you done to Save the Earth?
Even if you try your best to think about the environmental impacts, there are some daily luxuries that you might not want to give up. What are these?
Come up with a catchy slogan to promote the Earth Day.

Happy Earth Day!
One person can not save the world but together we can.
It can feel quite daunting when you see so much destruction around the world. How do you begin? What can you do? Is it even worth it? Of course it's worth it. Every little thing can have a great impact. Baby steps are better than no steps at all.
We live in a society where you buy, use and throw without thinking twice where all the litter/garbage will end. Look at any fast food chains how much package they use only to be thrown a few minutes later, the bags we use while we shop, the amount of tissue paper we use on a daily base.
With the risk of sounding holier than thou but I have been doing these things for the past 15 years:
-recycling litter/garbage at my home. For example I rip out the plastic bit on the envelopes and throw them in the normal bin and the paper bit in the recycling one. Yes I'm crazy! LOL!
-throwing used batteries at a place where they collect them (nowadays I use mostly rechargeable ones). Same with bulbs and other electronic items.
-using less water like while showering, washing clothes only when the machine is full, don't let the water run while doing the dishes are brushing teeth.
- using less electricity by changing from normal bulbs to energy saving ones, always turn off the TV properly as stand-by mode takes a lot of energy, thinks twice before starting the washing machine
-using clothes to the point where you can't wear them anymore. Same with shoes.
-always bringing my own bag while doing the shopping and actually saying no when they offer a bag
-THINKS TWICE BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING! Do I really need it or am I buying because I like it? Has saved me a lot of money over the years.
-using right amount of washing powder/liquid. Too much isn't good for your health or for the environment. Same with shampoo, soaps and other similiar items...I use them wisely.
-using papertowels with care. Take one instead of two or rip one into two halves (sounds crazy but can make a great difference)
-walk, walk, walk!!! I don't have a car however I still try to walk rather than take the bus.
-writing on both side of the paper.
-printing out with care even if someone offers free printing from computer I don't misuse it. Just because it's free doesn't mean it's good.
-thinking twice before buying wooden furniture. Is the tree used from endangered areas like the rainforest?
-avoid using bleach for cleaning and use more environmental friendly liquids. What's wrong with vinegar, lemon and bicarbonate? Occasionally I use other stuff because it's needed but I try to avoid to many heavy chemicals.
-instead of buying waterbottles fill a bottle at home and bring it. I also use jug + filter instead of buing bottles and bottles of water.
-dry clothes naturally rather than using the dryer
These are only a few things I do, there is a lot more I do and much more I wish to do like buying localy produced food which saves on fuels and in turn means less pollution, buying organic food which at the moment I can't afford, buy food with less package, use green energy, etc, etc.
Btw amazing topic! 👏Thanks for the hard work on making it.
