Oh-kay! So we are back to the stage when I have to make a list to get to everything that happened in the episode. This used to happen in the first week where each episode was packed with drama and each scene was packed with meaning, waiting to be picked apart so here I go.

Arpita's Mother
So I still maintain that this woman is still mentally disturbed from the loss of her daughter but she is not a cruel woman unlike the Dubeys. But what I found most interesting about this scene was the information we got about Arpita's character, that she spoke the truth no matter the consequences, with a pure and unbridled heart. This gave the clue that perhaps all was not well with her as the bahu of the Scindia family because either she opposed her in-laws or she fought a lot of frustration living with them. This tallies with the Arpita we saw in the first ever flashback, who questioned Yash as to why he wanted to marry her just by seeing her picture. This makes a lot of sense because it is her mother talking about her. So it is possible that Arpita, while happy with Yash kept a lot of things within herself to fit into the Scindia bahu mould.

The Scindias hated their own game being played on them! Previously they used Garima's blackmail for their own benefit, to keep Aarti and the Dubeys under tabs and nobody understands the politics better than Scindia saab. Arpita's mother is a quivering mass of fragile emotion and the Scindias were taking advantage of that. By taking Aarti to meet and speak to her, Shobha made her own use of Garima's emotions but in a much subtler and much more sincere way. Gayatri is clearly not as shrewd as her husband. He backs off and retreats from the battlefield to strategise and regroup while she forges on even when she is losing a battle. These sour grapes toward Aarti are going to be problem later though.

Yash and his kids
Is it weird that Yash is most comfortable with his kids when they are asleep? 😆 But I guess this is also one of the rare times he gets to have them all to himself and just look at them, stroke their heads, do all the affectionate things he is never allowed to do in the company of his parents and family because he is a man. I love his unwavering attention to them as though he could stare at them forever and never be bored, looking out for their every movement, every stillness. This man just has so much love to give and is almost weighed down by his own capacity to love. Does that sound corny? But I can't think of any other way to say it!

Aw and that kiss to his hand after Payal wakes up coughing almost sent me over the edge. I feel like both girls feel so protected and loved and that is exactly what Yash wants!

Yash and Arpita flashback
So I have been wondering to myself, to the CVs of the show intend these to be flashbacks, as in showing us the past first hand, or are they memories, ie us seeing the past through Yash and Aarti's eyes. I am tending to think the latter because of the black and white and the choice splashes of colour. Today the symbolism in the memory was really interesting as well as the characterisation and some of the hints that were given so forgive me if I end up writing an essay about this.

First of all we see here that Arpita was in green. I said before that I think the colours of the spouses in the memories reflect the rememberers state of mind. Here Yash is calm and peaceful with his daughters and so that is reflected in Arpita's green. In some ways he is also feeling what they call vatsalya in Sanskrit, or parental love so this is reflected in the colour Arpi is wearing. She is shown as the mother for the first time and Yash is fascinated by this aspect of her. I love that they showed this. Their relationship was not only about romance but a deep and abiding love, where Yash loved every aspect of Arpita's being, as just a girl in a photograph, her as his wife, as a mother, and basically as a woman (ring any bells from yesterday?).

I thought it was interesting that here Yash too was in colour, that is only his clothes. I think it is because this memory carried on to the present with the promise that had to be kept. All the other memories were decidedly in the past but this one intrudes on the present which is why Yash is also in colour.

Now the highlight of this scene was when Arpita was explaining motherhood and said how ordinary and extraordinary an experience it was and Yash lamented the fact that only women could feel this. To me that was just beautiful! Here is a man whose capacity to love is not restricted to the definitions assigned to him of man and father. He wants to love and he does love with the stereotypical depth of a woman and a mother (thinking back to when Scindia told him it was inappropriate to grieve for Arpita the way he was doing) but his family holds him back from expressing this love to the extent that he wants to. I think Arpita was the only being to whom he could show this sensitive and deeply emotional side without judgment and that is what made her so important to him and why he feels she is irreplaceable. With every one else he guards his emotions but with her he could say what to anyone else would sound absurd and she loved him all the more for it!

I have to give a standing ovation to whoever wrote this because I think a lot of the time we undermine a man's capacity and willingness to love openly and emotionally. Women are not the only ones that suffer from gender stereotypes and I am so glad they are touching on this in such a touching and sensitive manner. 👏👏👏

Finally, I get the feeling that Arpita somehow knew there was a chance of her dying early. They both seemed to emotional for it to be just an offhand conversation and I know these things are exaggerated in serials but the fact that Yash took her so seriously, broke down himself and found it in him to promise her made me feel that there was more than meets the eye. He was so hesitant to promise her, not because he thought his love would diminish but because that would be acknowledging the possibility that she may not be there one day. Arpita looked so happy and so peaceful when he did promise her that I felt like this had been playing on her mind for a while. And finally what sealed the deal was that Yash shouted out to Arpita when Payal coughed and only then realised he had been but lost in his memories. Could the reaction to the cough mean something?

Yash and Prateek Conversation
Prateek is wondrous! I simply adore this character who plays the family clown but in truth is mature beyond anyone's perception. Even though Yash is unwilling to tell him the problem, he doesn't let go and makes it his business to get it out of him. I feel like Yash sort of underestimates Prateek because he is "chote" and nobody takes him very seriously. He doesn't immediately grasp that this is someone he can reveal his emotions to without fear, given that Prateek himself is a guy so in touch with his feminine side and so secure about it to boot!

Finally when Yash does open up, it is to wonder if he is breaking his promise to Arpita. That Scindia calculativeness seems to be overtaking him and he is afraid that his love will reduce just because Aarti is there to take care of the kids. What bothered me a little is how he didn't really put Ansh in the picture at all. This is what I loved about Prateek who brought him in seamlessly. I feel like Prateek will be helping Aarti and Ansh a lot when Yash falls short because of his awkwardness. Prateek understands just what Yash needs to hear and what he wants to be said but sometimes can't say himself. I love this relationship between these two where Prateek is secure enough not to let Yash's looks and indifference hurt him and forges ahead!

Aarti and Mansi
Oh how I wish they had been more careful about Mansi's character because I absolutely loved her today. I wish they hadn't made her a broken record in the second week and made us all resent her because she is a really interesting character. I loved the insight we got into her today as well! She is joking about her husband but clearly it is a defense mechanism hiding a lot of pain. But she also has some misconceptions about love, that it can't happen long distance. This is probably because of her preoccupation with the physical aspect of it. I hope her marriage teaches her the other ways to love as well and I was happy to see her husband call finally!

And the lingerie and Aarti's reaction to it was hilarious! 🤣 This is what I love seeing in Mansi's character and her relationship with Aarti and I loved that they are so different but they do know each other inside out and love each other to pieces. I hope one day we get more on how they met and became friends. MaRti flashbacks! 😍

Aarti and Prashant
This was the big zinger today, huh? Prashant is such a slimy coward. He knew that nobody he spoke to, neither Shobha nor Mansi would let him speak to Aarti and so he kept calling. Like there weren't enough creepy things going on! She is clearly knocked out of her senses on hearing his voice and I feel like she agrees to meet him because she has been thinking so much about him lately with this PV happening. But I am sure she will be in for some rude shock when she meets him. He can have no good intentions or he would have waited to meet her after her marriage.

Precap

You tell her Shobha! I understand Aarti's desperation but she should really consider the consequences of her action. Shobha's anger is totally justified. Does she think this wedding is a joke? Sadly, she wishes it was!

Today's episode was quite a beautiful and emotion-packed one. I absolutely loved each and every scene because it was neither to fast nor too slow, and it was filled wth the most powerful dialogues and some of the most moving sentimentality we have seen so far.
But as is my habit, I like to see the common thread weaving through the episode. Today the common thread I found was the concept of the "bend in the road". Every single scene today was one where someone was forced to take a bend in the road they have been travelling so far.
When someone takes a bend in the road they usually have a lot of lessons to learn, things to wind up from the past and things to look forward to with a new vision for the future.
Here are the characters that for me took a major bend in the road today:
Papa Scindia is forced to re-assess his own self and his power.
He was forced to take the "bend in the road" he has been travelling so far ...
The kanyadhan issue is a very emotive one. Yesterday itself the precap prepared us to expect that Garima would argue in favour of Aarti and Shobha and insist that the Dubeys should do the kanyadhan. In fact today Garima surprised me by taking the angle that Aarti was like her own daughter, freely speaking not for herself but for the Dubeys. Garima made her points forcefully, and Aarti and Shobha were silent but successful spectators. But did you notice the flitting of so many different emotions across the face of Papa Scindia? It was not Aarti's moment of reckoning. It was Papa Scindia's moment of self-truth. He was given a glimpse of his own smallness. Thus far he has been striding along like a giant in his household, making all the rules and tolerating no one else making any decisions in his male dominated space. But today he has come to "the bend in the road" where he has to either turn the corner gracefully or lose his face.
Yash feels guilty of not living up to his promises to Arpita.
Pratik helps Yash take the "bend in the road" by validating his decisions ...
That scene was utterly beuatiful. A moment of heart-to-heart between two brothers where the elder one turns to the younger for validation! Actually Pratik spoke well and spoke a lot to Yash, but I suspect he was only voicing what one part of Yash's heart was already telling him. He had taken the decision to remarry but needed the extra dose of logic from Pratik to back the decision. He was thinking of Arpita, the promises made, his daughters and their happiness ... eventually Pratik was able to echo loudly for Yash what was already whispering inside his heart. The time had come to go forwrd with confidence because Yash had come to the "bend in the road" that had to be taken ...
Aarti was finding Mansi a bit too much today.
She took the "bend in the road" to summarily tick off Mansi about that nightie ...
Till now Mansi had always managed to push her ideas at Aarti, and Aarti has always been a mute spectator and listener, taking in all that Mansi said and then feeling acute discomfort over it. Today something in their equation changed completely. Mansi was not able to go beyond the first few sentences, when Aarti royally shut her up with a sharp and timely refusal to have anything to do with the nightie. Mansi was pouting but Aarti did not let her wallow in self pity for long. Soon matters were back to normal between them, but very subtly the power dynamics between Mansi and Aarti changed in that one scene. Mansi was forced to acknowldege that Aarti had taken the "bend in the road" and hereafter their relationship, though remaining friendly, may well be on a new footing ...
Prashant calls Aarti and asks her to meet him at their old haunt.
Will Aarti go and meet him? Or will she take the "bend in the road" towards Yash?
This is an intriguing part of the story. The past is calling Aarti back, probably for some selfish reasons of Prashanth. He didn't look straightforward, and I get the feeling his intentions are not honourable. Maybe he plans a spot of blackmail of Aarti at this vulnerable time? Maybe he needs money? Maybe he wants to use Ansh as the pawn in a sinister game? Aarti looks as if she wants to go and meet him as per the precap, and Shobha and Dubey look like they will stop her. The moment is crucial now because Aarti has a choice ... there is a bend in the road right in front of her. The bend in the road leads not to Prashanth but to Yash? Will she turn and run back on the road she has been travelling so far or will she draw a line and decide to end the past by taking the "bend in the road"? Tomorrow we may know ...
This "bend in the road" concept reminds me of a very powerful line I once read where a wise person had written:
"Don't fear the bend in the road. It is never the end of the road".
That sounds like a lovely thing to say to both Yash and Aarti: "Please don't mistake the bend in the road for the end of the road. This is just the beginning of a new phase in the journey ..."
As for Papa Scindia, Mansi, Prashant ... if they too don't respect the need to turn the corner in their own lives, they are likely to be left behind by the course of events. The road waits for no one.

Since we know that Yash-Aarti marriage 1 hour spl episodes will b shown on Monday and Tuesday next week ,so its obvious that this week episodes are all going to b a build-up for the grt marriage event and so it will b filled with high voltage suspense drama thus keeping us all on the edge of our seats 🤔...
Aarti going to meet Prashant in Mandir will b one of the many suspense drama that will b put in before the marriage to keep us guessing till the end 😛😆...I wont b surprised if that widow Bua actually sees Aarti going out of the house just before marriage thus giving an instant doubt to her and she goes carrying this message to Yash then 😉😆...All these suspense dramas r quite common in any daily soaps just before the main couple's marriage 😆😛
Anyways here are some of the interesting scene in today's Episode..
Kanyadan Issue resolved thanks to Arpita's mom: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This proves that Scindias r themselves making their own rules to dominate the Dubeys with the excuse of Arpita's parents when Arpita's parents simply want Aarti's happiness as it seems Arpita's mother sees Arpita's reflection in Aarti and do not want her to pressurise in any way 👍🏼...Arpita's mom gave a very important dialogue regarding Arpita died without getting all her wishes fulfilled and so she wants Aarti's wishes to b fulfilled at least 😲..Does that mean Arpita's death is actually a mystry in which Daddy and Mommy Scindia might b involved somewhere and so to come out of their own guilt they r trying to present Aarti as Arpita in front of the society and Arpita's parents ??🤔
Yash's views on Remarriage and his worries regarding step-mom issue is finally shown :Thanks a lot CVs for showing the scene of Yash confessing his worries to Pratik regarding his kids getting a step-mom👏 ...it was high time we saw Yash's POV and his fears regarding the Remarriage just how Aarti's POV was always shown to us many times in the previous episodes
...Its quite normal for Yash to hv these worries since he is not sure whether Aarti will b able to give the same love and care of a mother than Arpita had given 😊...I loved Pratik's defence for Aarti here the way he reminded Yash that even Aarti is a mother and knows her duties well 👏...Yash-Pratik scene was really good as it was long pending where we could see Yash's take on this marriage 😳...
Yash-Arpita flashback proves Arpita dint die giving birth to Payal-Palak ...but does that mean she was sick since she gives the dialogue of "if anything happens to me ,u will never leave my kids alone" ?? 🤔 So far whatever flashbacks of Arpita and Yash r shown ,one thing is clear Arpita died after giving birth to Payal-Palak and so her death somewhere is a mystry for viewers ...Now the question is why will someone fully fit and fine give such kind of dialogue to her husband while cooking which is related to her death ?? 😕 ..and even Yash's reaction to her dialogue followed by that emotional hug sort of indicates as if he too knows one day she will die but he does not want that day to come ever 😕 ..Does that mean Arpita was sick and suffering from a life threatening disease ?? ..Did Yash-Arpita knew that one day she will die ?? 😕 What exactly happened to Arpita ?? 😕...hmmm lots of mystries ,,, Anyways I liked the whole transition from past to present ,the way Yash comes back to his senses when he sees Payal coughing in sleep and then promises to Arpita that he will never leave his kids alone 😳😳...very touching scene and wonderful acting from GC 👏👏👏
Twist of Prashant calling Aarti and asking her to meet in Mandir: I guess it could b a blessing in disguise for Aarti if she meets Prashant and sees his real face yet again when he asks for money from her(just my guess) and mayb then it will b easy for Aarti to finally move on in life and stop hoping that Prashant can return back ever 😡😊 ;Aarti still somewhere has a hope that Prashant will return and unless that hope fully dies in her heart ,she wont b able to move on in life and mayb this hope will die now once she meets Prashant and sees that he is still the selfish guy who left her years back 😡...So its better if Aarti goes to meet him and gets a reality chk 😊
Aarti's Mehndi Symbolism :Prashant calls right after Aarti puts Yash ke name ka fresh mehndi on her hand thus indicating that Prashant will always enter as a thorn in Aarti's life whenever she wishes to start a fresh life with Yash but mayb the outcome of this meeting will b shown tomorrow ..so will wait for the completion of this symbolism 😉😛...Its an incomplete symbolism yet 😉 ...I feel Yash's naam ka Mehndi on Aarti's hand will help Aarti take the right decision after meeting Prashant 😃...

Congrats Kratika for your Long Jump 😳🥳 Hope to see you in top 10 next week 😍

Shocking , appalling, horrifying, horrific, dreadful, awful, frightful, terrible! What a shocker! Woop!

Here we have plentiful people writing life long Analysis on the epi making me feel subordinate 😆 Kidding!

The episode was full of symbolism & I would directly come to them :

1. Arpi-Yash FB:

How endearing it was that to see ! Two colours were highlighted in the epi - Blue & Green. Their significances were meant for each other. Arpi wore Green which is associated with eternity & Yash wore Blue ie associated with flow & Variation. Yash was with her till her last breath (I suppose) but Arpi glided out of his life soon.

The scene also reminded me of a classic poem (Don't rem its name) where the girl asks the boy to take care of himself after her death & dies the next morning.

Did Arpi know her abt bound to happen death? Why would she say that just like that?

2. Broken glass:

No! Im not superstitious neither do I want to spread it but Im saying that from an observer's POV. The glass broke after the ingression of Prashanth. Does it state that he'll always remain a negative portent in her life. Like an albatross in her neck.😡

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/54978339

The moment I hated :

Aarti clutching her mehndi vaala hand! 😡Ridiculous! 😡

I really want Yash to tell his parents straight up that he is not going to deal with this name change and kanyadaan nonsense any longer. Arpita was her own person .. and had her own identity .. to give that to someone else is not only disrespectful to her but to Aarti! And for Aarti it is just plain inhumane to strip her of her identity and to take away the right of her parents and give them to Arpita's!! What kind of a world are the Scindia's living in!? Enough is enough.
And I want Aarti to speak up for herself even though I love that Shobha has been by her side this entire time and didn't fall weak. I want Aarti to voice her feelings towards this in a well manner yet at the same time strictly so that the Scindia's realize they need to respect her as their hone waali bahu. She is NOT a khilona.
And finally I want AarYa to TALK. TALK IT OUT. They really need to do this before they walk around a holy fire giving vacchans because if they do not believe in them even a little then what's the point? I know there is no love existing at this point and that's totally FINE. The one thing that needs to be sorted out though is the misconceptions Aarti has of Yash ala Mansi's blabberings and suspicions and of her untimely acquaintances with Yash Ji. They need to tell each other why they even agreed to such a marriage and what importance this marriage holds for them. They need to spend more time with each other during this phase and not locked up in their rooms just thinking about talking and never getting around to it. They're adults and they should know how to handle such situations.
_______________________
Hi 😃

My name is Prashant Dubey ... hehe ..

So .. like .. I left my pregnant wife 4 years back because I met someone else and was too scared to lead a family life. You know, I wanted to LIVE THE LIFE and do more EXCITING things before settling in with a baby and all. I wasn't ready for that big of a responsibility. So, I just left my wife in front of her eyes though she begged me to stay..

But today I found out she's getting married ... it's almost her wedding day and I'm just going to call her up and tell her to meet me at a mandir we used to go to when we were in LOVE .. you know .. instead of facing her and my family like a man ...

My reaction:

YOU KIDDING?

NO. LIKE. ARE YOU HIGH?

IS YOUR SCREW LOOSE?

ARE YOU FOR REAL?

I so wish if Aarti goes there and he tells her his dukh bhari kahani of course sprinkled with lies .. and that he was an idiot for leaving her and if he DARE say he LOVES HER.. she should be all:

And bring on the hockey gundi I saw earlier and ATTACK (warning: the following images are slightly violent 😆)

What I DO NOT want from Aarti is:

So she should totally give him a piece of her mind (and fist) and then sing:

Because ... no man with a spine would run off like that -- ESPECIALLY considering his wife is pregnant -- but he would rather:

That is all.

PS: I loved Pratik's advice and consolation towards Yash. I love him for doing that ... Yash cannot even talk to his FLYING HIGH parents who couldn't really give a crap about their son but rather worry about how Aarti doesn't want to change her name and is talking to Arpita's parents about it like she SHOULD BE >_> No .. they're too busy sitting there all worked up about the fact that Aarti is voicing her opinion and doesn't want to abide by their stupid rules. So thank you Pratik for being there for your big bro and listening to his problems. Next step: Yash talks to AARTI! But that won't be happening because Aarti is hell bent on meeting Prashant the Spineless

BUT it does make for some good drama ... so I'm all excited

LOL!

My take on name change and Kanyadaan!

Why the hell Scindia's dictating to Dubey family, Why does Dubey family have to fall in their demands!

It's our society, that''s why...we come from a culture where men and their family controls everyone's lives, but this is not right! Why should the gals family abide by all their demands!!! Move on with time people...Yash u chuha 😆😆😆speak ur mind and tell papa, u not for all this...then again its an indian drama...thoda ghista phista hoga na! 😆😆😆😆😆

This is a great serial, they need to stop this dictatorship, Mittals have touched on a beautiful subject...remarriage of a widow and I hope they keep that part entact! Nahin toh this is will go for a toss :(!!!!

With the marriage episodes both being an hour, I had steeled myself for having no expectations for the rest of this week. Today I was pleasantly surprised. We got a flashback from Yash and Prashant showed up, which I was not expecting.

I have one word to say about this Prashant. Untrustworthy! I don't trust him, and I hope that Shobha finds some way to keep them from meeting.

Okay, so I think it is very interesting that both the ex spouses showed up in this episode. I also think it is very interesting that they both used similar phrasing to get Yash and Aarti to agree with their requests. Arpita's request was, unselfish and that Yash should always love and take care of their daughters, even if something happened to her. Something interesting about this is that Arpita never told him that he can not love or care for anyone else, but it seems as if Yash's thought process is such that if his daughter's are to stay his top priority, he can't imagine anyone else having a similar priority in his life. I can see that when he consciously notices that Aarti and Ansh are also starting to figure into his priorities, that he will feel that he is betraying Arpita's trust and his promise to her. I am hopeful that as the serial progresses, that the CVs will show his realization that he can fulfill his promise to Arpita and their children, while still forging new relationships with Aarti and Ansh.

In contrast to Arpita, Prashant is extremely selfish in his request. "I know it will be very hard for you to meet with mehendi and shaadi happening..." Oh, puh-leeze! He had to pick the day of the wedding to finally talk with her? He couldn't do it before then? He wants her to just drop everything and sneak away to meet him, when he very well knows that if they were seen together by anyone, it would give a terrible impression of Aarti's character. I don't know what Aarti thinks he wants to say to her, but I hope it is something that will start her realization that she needs to let go of this guy. He isn't going to come back to her, so it is no use pining for him and getting all worked up whenever anything to do with him is mentioned. I'm not saying she has to stop loving him. I think the only way for that to happen is for her to start loving Yash, because if she hasn't stopped loving Prashant until now, she probably won't until she begins to have feelings of love for someone else. However, I want her to finally get her head straight about what he's done to her, and I'm hoping that this meeting (if it happens) will begin that process.

So, I have no predictions for what's coming next, because I will continue to subdue my expectations until next week, when I will have plenty and they will be very high.

Scindia's - Arpi's mother- shobhaji interaction...some pieces are missing in the Scindia-arpi's parent's puzzling relation.. gayatri seemed shocked on Papa Scindia's final decision...and that killing look gave me shudders😃
prashant😕 why is he ashant? hope jyo's guess comes true...the time for realisation for Aarti?
