Sexy and svelte Parul Chauhan – of Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai fame – is in a mood to explore these days. What are we exactly talking about? Well, the dusky beauty is all set to make her big screen debut. Earlier there were reports that this talented actor from Lakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh) will be doing a film with Kinshuk Mahajan (currently seen in Afsaar Bitiyan). However, the movie never took off. But this time around, she seems to have struck gold.
"I can't give much detail about it except that it has renowned actors from the film world. We have just wrapped up the first schedule and hope to release the film in the monsoon season," smiles Parul.
And this is what she has to say about her character, "My character has two completely opposite shades. One is very traditional and the other is very western. But it is not a double role."
Hmm…sounds interesting. So tell us the difference between working in TV and films? "In films, we shoot more angles (compact, long shot etc) and at a much faster pace. On the first day when we reached the set, I thought the lighting department would take time to set up things, but it happened in a jiffy."
So is she done with television? "This medium has made me who I am and I will never leave it. If I get an interesting offer, I will surely take it up. I would love to do reality shows like Jhalak Dikhlaja and Comedy Circus, but not Big Boss, please. My name was thrown around in the prospective list this time around as well. But then you saw the final list was quite different from what was being speculated about in the media."
Fair enough. She further tells that she is still in touch with Director Kut's Rajan Shahi who gave her Bidaai. "We are always in touch and he keeps telling me to look for fresh pastures. As soon as I got the above film offer I spoke to him and he asked me to march ahead. I would love to work with him in the future as well."
Talking about her personal life, Parul is quite happy with her beau Yashdeep Nain (they met on the show Perfect Bride)
"But we have not yet thought about tying the knot as we are young and need to get settled in our respective careers. He is also busy with a new show," she ends.
