LET ME SAY THE GIRL IS:

Geet Handa: 22 years old Bachelors in Architecture and Designing, a very jovial lady yet always stands for the truth and righteousness. She hails from a very conservative and a joint family where males are supposed to rule and females tormented no freedom of their own.


PROLOGUE:

A young lady who was searching through the forest-shrubs for a certain variety of flowers needed in the morning prayer at the Gurudwara today. The girl had to procure them because the special prayer arranged was for her and she had to get everything ready herself as the prayer required so, when suddenly she heard a loud shriek from not so far away. The shriek was of another young lady who was being chased by angry males laden with swords and fire torches. The young lady or should I say girl who was being chased was requesting pardon for some thing but the arrogant men were hell-bent on killing her. They slashed her dead and buried her into the ground before leaving the place, unknown of the fact that they have a witness.

The young lady who had come to collect flowers from the forest got shocked to the core and stood like a mute spectator through the whole brutal carnage. When she later regained senses she swore never to touch a sword even though she was the best at handling it, she was shaken to wits. Eventually she went to the murdered girl's side who was a bit conscious to speak out her last wish and died in her arms. The girl cleansing herself the last bit of blood from herself so that nobody knows of her presence left for home with a heavy heart.

This young lady (the sole witness) was to keep shut about her witnessing the crime and also to protect the identities of the dying lady's husband and his family as the last wish which she intended to keep as a promise.

Now this whole thing happened before dawn-break, so our story starts when the day starts and all seems normal. The lady who witnessed the murder was none other than our very own Geet Handa and the murdered one is Channi, the murderers include Brij, Channi's brother and a few more whom Geet has recognised.

The whole family of Geet visited the Gurudwara unknown to all this but the turmoil in Geet's mind had to be suppressed to keep her promise so everything got to "normal" by the time she reached home to start a new day with BABAJI's blessings.
