Japan's prime minister Yoshihiko Noda on Wednesday urged Israel to refrain from military action against Iran...

Obama administration has urged the world to isolate the Islamic country in the wake of new nuclear announcements...
When the world powers tried to isolate iran, Do you think india can take strong decision!!!?!!😕
I think Nuclear is just an issue for War, but main aim of USA and Israel is the Petrolium of Iran...
Do you think US/Isreal/EU pouring the war on many countries by some fake reasons??

I don't have much knowledge about international affairs, I only know that India at present is pretty heavily dependent on oil from Iran.
Also it should be ascertained whether the blasts were state sponsored or not before deciding what action to take against Iran.

Ahmedinejad (or whatever his name is) is a crazy guy who wants to wipe Israel off the map of the earth. Israel and US should be very concerned.

The problem is not nuclear weapons. The problem is that the control of those weapons is in a person's hands who hates the west.

International relations are very complex.

An idiotic leader can much much grief to the country.
Whatever Iran wants they can get. Just comply with international guidelines along the right lines.
It is pointless to go head on with the World Body.
But I expect the Iranians to overthrow their leaders like the rest of ME countries.
Iranians are great people with a long history and culture.
Nuclear energy for peaceful purposes is fine.

this whole discussion is dependent on the fact that iran must have caused the blast ... which is pretty insane - why would any country on purpose create attention towards itself...
and america is known for trying to put down any country which tries to make its own stand .. they lied to us about iraq, about afgahnistan and now against iran...
but i think india will make a good desicion- india has always taken a good stand in maintaing public relations and at the same time not supporting the wrong country...

Iran is not seen by the west to behave rationally.
West are afraid that Iran may cause Isreal to disappear from the Map with some nuclear arsenal.
Iran should not take a confrontational route in dealing with the West. Through clever diplomacy it can always get what it wants.

As per my brother, Iranians abroad don't like Ahmednijad ... and i mean the ones who in general support the Islamic revolution and all ...

I dont think US/Europe there will be a world war three ... US/Western Europe can't afford it 😛

And anyway... Iran does have its support group in the international community ... much more than Syria actually ... so i dont see any UN sanctioned action happening there.

Other than the fact that Ahmedinejad refuses to recognize Israel as a state and wants to wipe it off the map and he has told multiple times that US deserved September 11 attacks... a quick Google search reveals some good quotes. (source - telegraph):

On the terror attacks of Sept 11 - March 2010

"The September 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan."

On Jews - Sept 2007

"I'm not anti-Jew. Jews are respected by everyone, like all human beings, and I respect them very much."

On the Holocaust - Sept 2009

"They (the Western powers) launched the myth of the Holocaust. They lied, they put on a show and then they support the Jews."

On homosexuals - Sept 2007

"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country... In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who's told you that we have this."

On George W Bush - June 2008

"This wicked man desires to harm the Iranian nation."

On Osama bin Laden - May 2010

"I heard that Osama bin Laden is in Washington DC...Yes, I did. He's there. Because he was a previous partner of Mr Bush. They were colleagues in fact in the old days. You know that. They were in the oil business together. They worked together. Mr bin Laden never cooperated with Iran but he cooperated with Mr Bush."

You are right. This guy is not crazy because he is beyond repair. He should be put down.

As for your other points.. well, if you call Israel a "cancer", there is no point in discussing that. You are way far off from the truth but you are committed to your thought.

As for US attacking Hiroshima and Nagasaki, well, first of all, US was not interested in joining WW2. They were pulled into the war when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Nuclear action was unfortunate.. but necessary to end the WW2.

As for "who" is US to tell anybody anything? Well, in simplest terms, historically, US has been the biggest money giver to these countries. They are dependent on US.

India is nuclear power but historically India has never shown intentions of wiping any country off the map of the world. India plays like a good player in a team or lives like a good neighbor if that makes sense. You cannot have a psycho neighbor - much less with a gun.

ETA - Thank you for this topic. It is so much refreshing to see a good political topic popping up every once in a while along with bunch of those let's guess who is gay. I have got this vibe that.. umm... someone is gay. Not that those topics are not fun. Just saying.

Check this one:-
1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington's chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.

2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.

4. Iran's formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.

5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.

6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran's announcement of a planned underground (to avoid being bombed) enrichment facility. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran's notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel's claims to "know" that Iran is a nuclear threat.

7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.

8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel's clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.

9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel's bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.

10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as "Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

11. Recently revealed documents prove not only that Israel has nuclear weapos, but actually tried to sell some to Apartheid South Africa. Who else Israel approached to sell nuclear weapons remains an unasked question.

12. In 1965, Israel stole over 200-600 pounds of weapons-grade uranium from the United States.

13. Declassified documents from the former South African regime prove not only that Israel has had nuclear weapons for decades, but has tried to sell them to other countries!

We all need to be Joe Wilson right now. We need to stand up and scream, "LIAR!" at every politician and every talking media moron that is pushing this war in Iran. And we need to keep dong it until they get the message that we will not be deceived any more.

Israel wants to send your kids off to die in Iran, and YOU are the only one that can stop them.
