Woah she is living with the divorce lawyer as an unpaying guest so that is one thing of my wish list😆
😆

Lol - what does Vidya need? Or should I say, 'who' does Vidya need?

Devyani - I just had think inkling ... will they turn her character grey now? I dunno - her face in the last shot had me thinking - will she, inadvertently, become a jealous aunt/sister? She has nothing to be jealous of, but possibly out of anger and hurt, at life in general? Just a thought.

Uttara - yeah, sex addict counselling seems right.

Priya - hmmm ... she already has a divorce lawyer ... as her landlord cum boss cum friend ... ;)

As for her not allowing Uttara to make a decision, I think the entire family is against this, it's not just Vidya. So why single Vidya out? Priya tried the samething Vidya tried, and Devyani succeeded in. Granted, Devyani's opinion will carry more weight given that it was she that Uttara was trying to spare, but still, all the other 3 females felt the same way.

I don't find Vidya irritating at all - she's consistently shown as a simple minded, loving loyally and unquestioningly those who are related to her, and she forgives extremely easily.

Someone said she brought forth Aditya's folly when she herself has defended those who've done worse. Well, to put things in perspective - she defended her husband AFTER she left him, and decided to live her own life. She defended him AFTER she was asked to come back for a divorce. She defended him AFTER she realized that he realized his mistake and was genuinely sorry. But mostly, she defended him AFTER she fell in love with him.

Also, she didn't blame Aditya out of the blue - she said herself that it was in the context of Aditya judging someone else harshly. I thought she was very right in bringing Aditya's choices up - no one in that house has the right to point any finger at anyone, except maybe Jaggi and Imli. They've all either committed, been part of, or have silently watched grave sins happen. But they've all come out of it strong and have learned their lessons. So no one should judge anyone harshly there. And THAT is what she was trying to tell Aditya.

As for her taking Uttara's side - she's just being a sympathetic and supporting family member. Something Priya would be doing, and Devyani would be doing, if they were around. I felt she was doing the right thing.

Uttara is free to make her choice, just as Vidya is free to give her advice and try to convince Uttara.

I would've done the same - not because I feel that Uttara should or shouldn't keep the baby - but because I know Uttara is making a decision in haste, out of anger and desperation, and mostly not with a sound mind. As Priya said - she needs to sit down, and think about this with a cool mind.

On a separate but curious note - why did the doctor say she was against it? I live in the US and have been here for the most part so I don't know what the rules are about abortion in the rest of the world. I'm just curious to know if it's considered illegal in other parts? Or does it require both the parties consent?

Vidya has no right to talk to Aditya in that manner. She is not his mother or sister. Vidya is taking care of Uttara as if Uttara is a teenager who was used by Brahma. Uttara did everything to satisfy her lust and her desire to occupy her sister's place. Such a woman does not need mollycoddling. she can take care of herself very well by finding someone else, this time maybe Shubhankar. This whole track is disgusting and leading nowhere. Except to create sympathy for a psycho like Uttara. Uttara who betrayed her own sister again and again, Uttara who never thought of her own daughter Tara while having those disgusting sessions with Brahma. It is a sin to show sympathy to such a character. If she decides to keep the child, let her be. But she can atleast move out of the house.

But that's the type of character she is ...

As for Uttara - to each their own perspective. I would definitely not have forgiven her, God forbid if she was my sister. That said, what they're showing is an extra ordinary family, with extra ordinary hardships and relationships.

Uttara isn't being mollycoddled for no reason - she's preggo. She was being ignored, and no one was her ally save Brahma when she was still in the enemy camp. But as Imli said - her sin was not easy to forgive but also, not anyone but Devyani's to forgive either. And if Devyani forgave her, if she's realized her mistake, who is anyone else to judge and act as jury?

However, I think they're showing the sympathy factor coz they're about to show Uttara lose her marbles. She was the only one who wasn't completely stable - too hyper, too happy, and then too sad, too crazy ... so the crazy spell may stay a bit now.
