'Salim Khan has improved,' Javed Akhtar shares latest health update of Salman Khan’s father

Veteran writer and Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, was hospitalised on February 17 after a minor brain haemorrhage. He's currently stable at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, undergoing close observation in the ICU post a procedure. Celebs like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Sanjay Dutt have visited him. Now, Javed Akhtar has shared an update on Salim's health.

At a recent book launch in Delhi, Javed Akhtar provided a health update on his longtime screenwriting partner, Salim Khan, stating that Khan is now in good recovery. According to the Indian Express, Javed Akhtar said, "Salim is fine now. He's okay and recovering. He's sitting on a chair and talking, and I mean, he has improved."

When Aamir Khan and Daisy Shah shared Salim’s health update

Earlier, Aamir Khan also spoke about Salman's father at an event. He was heard saying, "I went to meet Salim sahab, and we are all praying that he recovers soon. I could not meet him personally since he was in the ICU. I sat with the family. Alvira ji told me that his health is improving every day. We are all praying that he returns home soon and that his health is fully restored."

In a recent interview, Daisy Shah also confirmed that Salim Khan was doing well post-surgery. She told Filmygyan, "I couldn't meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success and he is under observation, but he is out of danger."

As Salim Khan recovers in the hospital, Salman has resumed filming "Battle of Galwan." The shoot was paused while Salman supported his father. A recent photo from the set shows him with fans.
