Vidya's interference

Vidya is not allowing Uttara to take the right decision.

Vidya has started her irritating behaviour once again.

Is this why Vidya wants to stay in that house?

I think Vidya is not alllowing Uttara to take an independent decision

I agree that it is nice that she is trying to protect the unborn child as it has no voice right now

I don't find her counsellign Uttara irritating I find her beign judge and jury irritating.

Everytime Vidya has defended someone she has always defended someone who has been in the wrong. It does not matter who she is defending them to. the point is the person being defended is genuinely wrong

She defended Gaurav. yes, he was gay, yes, he was int he closet, yes he was forced in to marriage but yes he also committed a wrong by going into it with full knowledge of his wrong doing and with no rel sign of repentance or guilt. through it all he was only interested in preserving his own skin. it does not matter why he got into a sham marriage what matters is that he participated as a consulting adult with full knowledge of the facts. no one had to pull any wool over his eyes. he did not want to be shot by his dad. simple as that. the way she defended him you would have thought that he had fought for world peace or something.

Now with Uttara she is doing the same thing. Yes, Uttara was unbalanced, Yes, she was manipulated by BJ but taali ek haat se nahi bajti. the second hand plays an equally forceful part.

Uttara has always wanted to feel like a desirable woman. her behaviour, her dress her relationships and choices reflect this. I am not citicizing her just stating a fact. In fact I loved her character in the beginning because she seemed so optimistic full of life and playful inspite of her misfortunes. It is this desire to be loved as a woman as opposed to be supported as a female family member that let her accept brahma's manipulations. Just becasue the devil speaks in your ear you don;t have to do an evil deed. She bought BJ's tale hook line and sinker because she wanted to with all her heart not because she was helpless. actually once she had crossed the line it was clear that she got bolder, more defiant, she was tryign to manipulate him as as opposed to vice versa and she felt like the conductor as opposed to the fiddle. there were no blinders on. she tried to latch on even when he told her clearly he had tricked her, used her and did not want the divorce. she wanted her cake and wanted to eat it too. Her regret is truly that her love dream got shattered with Priya's disclosure not that she had created a sin by betraying her sister's trust and doing everything in her power to break her sister's marriage. She has demonstrated the same selfishness in my opinion that Gaurav did in doign the wrong then using their emotional circumstance to cry their helplessness from the rooftops. On top of that she expects the very people she betrayed so casually to be her support structure? Shameless is more like it.

This are the type of people that inspire Vidya's simple-minded trust and sympathy.

Yet, Aditya who truly had the wool pulled over his eyes and when the blinders came off acted the way a reasonable person does gets no sympathy - he did not commit a wrogn act i.e. sham marriage, rape or molest anyone, have an illicit affair, etc. all he did was make an error in judgement and maintain a cool attitude with his wife. they had a marital spat but he never neglected his commitments. he still doesn't. this man gets no sympathy. fine. but he definitely gets accused harshly. wow talk about a double standard.

Aditya has been the fall guy to be treated harshly even by Vidya. Vidya seems to have forgotten how he was with her through out her difficult period and saved her. Now Vidya's newfound fancy is Uttara and the unborn child.

Uttara wanted an abortion and move on with her daughter. No. Our righteous lady Vidya wont allow that.

We suffered for months watching the disgusting affair between Brahma and Uttara.

Now that Brahma is behind bars, we have to deal with Uttara's pregnancy track which will be like Brahma in proxy.

The serial can very well be named Brahma Uttara ki amar kahani.

the way I see it.

Aditya is passionate. he is trusting of his family. wife came afterwards and honestly the issue he was facing is not one that most people would typically face

he has never come face to face with his family's grim reality. he is happy guy living in the warmth of a large closeknit family

In one full swoop his family is shattered and he is left standing there unable to really do anything.

men are not emotionless. they react. especially when they are losing control.

so he did.

he shouted. he vented, got emotional etc etc . BIG DEAL

when push came to shove he made the right decision and more importantly he STUCK AROUND for the fallout. he did not run away.

he is facing the music that he never wrote to begin it.

he missed one note and is being made to pay the price for the entire opera.

that is unfair in my opinion

Priya kept quite all these moments. Devyani manipulated people worse than rag dolls yet they are shining like beacons. Don't get me wrong. I like these characters but what I am seeing is that they are being glorified somehow for weakness in their own characters

the elder two Jhakar men wronged these woman and fled. even bauji for all his big talks did notthing all these years. all bhashans and no actions. yet we expect the world of the youngest jhakar man whose biggest mistake was that he knew nothing and did not want to take anyone's word at face value for an accusation as earth shattering as this.

he is taking all their gile shikve not because he caused the farce marriage or caused the divorce or was party to Priya's molestation or forced his aunt to seduce his father etc etc but because he is a jhakar man who loves his father and brother with an honest heart and demonstrated his love through his loyalty. he is still around so he is the new whipping boy. and we think that we treat men as equals. did she cause BJ to rape Priya or seduce Uttara - NO

But what she did do is let her children hero worship a devil, she promoted him confidently and only delayed the inevitable feeling of abandonment of the children by the divorce

she did it inspite of knowing that she was unattractive to him as a wife because she wanted to preserve the maryada of this hornet's nest, she wanted the world to respect her rotten husband - abuser and manipulator of the first degree so that she could bask in the societal respect and prestige by association

if she had seperated the children when she found out how rotten he was, she would have saved thekids the giref of findign out this horrible way, Gaurav could have lived his life how he chose, Vidya could have had a real marriage, Priya would not be forced to live with her rapist, Aditya would not have had to face the unreasonable crossroad he did, and she would have lived a comfortable life too jsut not a lavish VIP one with her own rail dhibba for pilgrimages.

she wanted the gilded cage and when she let it go she did so realizing that she was no match for her sister's beauty and sexual allure to an already corrupted man. She did not do an honourable deed. She did what she always did. Preserve her self interest

For all the love for Priya that she claims when she a just come back from the hospital, gun shot girl decided to leave, all she did to make sure this FEARLESS DAUGHTER was safe was A CALL. a buck a call.

what does she really do? she leaves this girl who is wounded, in need of post operative care with no confirmed roof, food or money and goes to secure the property taht will be part of her own alimony.

aditya was the one putting his concern into action

for that he is not appreciated

Vidya needs to concentrate on her life and let others do the same. She should let uttara take her own decisions Uttara is a grown woman, if she can knowingly destroy her own sisters home than she can also bear the consequences.

Actually she is trying to be the saint, pinpointing right and wrong... but is only being very irritating. She needs to understand sometimes you have to let the river run its course.
