FF:Destiny Last part pg102 (Thank you pg 109)

Hi everyone. Here it is, the next story I am working on.

FF: Destiny

Introduction

"Destiny is an absolutely definite and inexorable ruler. Physical ability and moral determination count for nothing. It is impossible to perform the simplest act when the gods say no. I have no idea how they bring pressure to bear on such occasions; I only know that it is irresistible."

Modi Family

Janki Modi (Baa)

Chirag Modi (Head of Modi Hotels. First in command)

Hetal Modi (Sweet and caring, all she cares about is for the family's happiness)

Jigar Modi (Hetal and Chirag's son): Spoiled, bit arrogant and doesn't trust easily. Loves his family, most especially his older brother.

Parag Modi (Loves his wife and kids, although not very much interested in business, he does work in family business.)

Kokila Modi (overbearing and controlling mother who made a mistake she is trying to make up for, but going about it the wrong way.)

Ahem Modi (Son of Parag and Kokila Modi): Central character of the story. Older than Jigar, heir apparent of Modi empire. MBA. Is second in command at Modi Hotels. He is caring, gentle and silently heart broken in love. Very respectful of his elders, about three years ago he gave up someone he loved and had no choice in the matter.

Kinjal Modi (Daughter of Parag and Kokila Modi. Takes after her father. Sweet and caring. She is an accountant and works for the family. Engaged to Dr. Raj Joshi, Ahem's best friend. She is very close to her brother.)

Patel Family

Balraj Patel (Modi Brother's brother-In-Law)

Savitaben Patel (Chirag and Parag's younger sister)

Ria Patel (Balraj and Savitaben's only daughter. Very close to her Modi cousins)

Parekh Family

Harish Parekh- (Also in hotel business, comes from a wealthy family, but married a woman to move in the business world and to establish himself in America legally)

Neeta Parekh. (Married Harish per parents wishes, resented him for marrying her for business and green card, for not loving her like she loved him.

Amit Parekh (Harish and Neeta's son. He is the oldest child. Now helps his father run their several business holdings. He loves his younger sister Gopi the most and is very close to her. Engaged to Ria Patel)

Gopi Parekh ( The other central character of this story. Loves her brother very much and would do anything for him. Never been close to her parents, and was always resented by Neeta. She was brought up by her grandmother (Father's mother). She and her best friend Rashi Shah share a house together. She is a Registered Nurse. She is 24 years old, but life and circumstances have been very hard for her.

Avni Parekh (youngest daughter of Harish and Neeta Parekh. She is a model and is very close to her mother. Only child Neeta ever felt like being a mother to. Resents Gopi just as much as her mother.

Shah Family

Jeetu Shah owns several convenience stores.

Urmila Shah- House wife, loves to attend kitty party and gossip. Only goal in life is for her daughter to marry in wealthy family. Hates Gopi, her daughter's best friend, because she thinks Gopi is a bad influence on Rashi. She is good friend with Neeta Parekh.

Rashi Shah is an accountant, works for the Modi's, mainly Jigar Modi. Very close to Gopi, and would do anything for her best friend.

My long intro of characters, hopefully it's not too confusing.

As I have mentioned, this story is very different from SNS and the setting is not in India, so even though I have borrowed most of the characters form SNS, they are not too much like the SNS characters.

The story may be hard to take at times, but as I have mentioned, unfortunately some of these things do take place in reality, even in a modern country like USA. And of course Indians will remain Indians no matter where they live. This is good and bad at times.

Disclaimer: This story is pure fiction. It comes from my overactive imagination, and based on some things I have noticed growing up in the states. I am a registered nurse and may use some of my experience and knowledge of that, but in simple terms.

Now just one request, it is up to all my forum friends to keep me motivated if the show takes turn for the worst.

OMG Shilpa! You're back with another story! I'm beyond excited right now. Love the character descriptions, and the introductions to the new characters that will be in the story. Gopi as a registered nurse, very cool and Rashi as an accountant. 😃

Read your first part, and loved it. BTW great minds think alike, I originally planned to give Gopi's last name same as you Mehta.😆
