Gaurav Khanna was unaware Akanksha Chamola would announce divorce on Lock Upp 2, claims Anuj Sachdeva

The conversation around Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola's separation has taken another turn after actor Anuj Sachdeva shared fresh details in an interview with entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani. According to Anuj, Gaurav did not know that Akanksha would publicly reveal the status of their marriage during her appearance on Lock Upp 2.

Speaking to Vickey Lalwani, Anuj first admitted that the news came as a surprise even to him. "I did not know that Gaurav and Akanksha were not staying together since the last 9 months," he said. He further revealed, "But yes, I spoke to Gaurav after the news got splashed. Gaurav was completely unaware that Akanksha is going to go public about the current status of their marriage in Lock Upp."

Anuj also came out in support of Gaurav's decision to maintain silence on the matter. "And yes, I must say that Gaurav is not washing his dirty linen in public," he told Vickey Lalwani, indicating that the actor has chosen not to discuss his personal life despite the public attention surrounding the separation.

Reacting to Akanksha's statement on the reality show that she now wants to "explore life", Anuj rejected the suggestion that she had been restricted during her marriage. "Not at all. Gaurav really loved her a lot and gave her all that she wanted," he said while speaking to Vickey Lalwani.

The interview also touched upon reports suggesting that differences over having children may have contributed to the couple's separation. However, Anuj refused to comment on the speculation. "I don't think so. Besides that's a very personal thing which nobody should ask or speculate about," he said.

Towards the end of the interview, Anuj questioned the timing of Akanksha's public disclosure. "So far, Akanksha had never gone public about this. I wonder if she's doing it to increase the eyeballs on the show," he told Vickey Lalwani.
