The participants are taking bath, washing cloths and washing other things in the same waters which is really bad for the hair and skin. The water may be flowing. Yet it feels eeks. The salty water of the sea, the mites in the sands all may cause skin disorders, itching for months. the stunts may fracture their limbs. And the ladies will have two uncomfortable times and how they can cope is a question.

Are the participants have some respite to have access to certain basic things and medical care?
If there is, then there wont be any more Karans.

If the situation is as horrendous as is shown, then some may be tempted to leave.

There is a team of paramedics and doctors always on the island with the contestants, and these paramedics plus the production team have temporary housing arrangements. An article about the same was posted by someone recently (I think Leia and another member too) that how contestants go through a routine health check-up everyday to ensure their well-being. No channel or production company is crazy enough to risk with the lives of their contestants (even if the contestants sign a life waiver) I am sure a similar routine is followed on other versions of Survivor too, so it has nothing to do with making it more Indianized etc! The article also mentioned that although these contestants are checked everyday, they are not provided with any medication unless necessary. I am sure similar arrangements are made keeping female hygiene and sanity in mind! 😃

In the original survivor, people have had significant weight loss and developed nutrient deficiency. So i guess, medical facilities are either completely absent or only emergency care is available.

A little googling reveals that people quitting the show due to medical reasons, has happened in survival shows elsewhere too. The conditions are harsh, so can't blame the contestants really. Will-power alone can't take you everywhere .. diseases, infections - can't prepare much for those.

The show is tough, but the tasks are not risky as such ..don't expect fratures atleast. Another interesting aspect is the looks , especially for the people in showbiz.. TV ke studs idhar , kuchh buddhe and kuchh thakele lagte hain. Actually am surprised, 45 isn't' that old - but Khera and JD to shayad 2-3months aur rehte to Rabindranath Tagore jaise lagne lagte ..😆

There is a lot that goes behind the scenes and production team thinks that audiences are fool 😛 You will notice that these contestants don't grow body hair, some look as if they have just shaved off their beards and much more 😳 I am sure they are supplied with razors, medications and few other things which are absolutely necessary.

Only Michael looks as if he has been kept away from all these basic necessities. 😳

I do not want to get into the details here (it's too gross). These guys have just been there for what? About 12-13 days? 12-13 days is very small time to show significant changes in ur physical appearances and even facial hair growth or body hair growth, plus not to forget that everyone has a different metabolic rate. For few, changes are evident immediately and for others, it takes some time. Give some benefit of doubt, just bcoz this is a desi show that doesn't mean we can put it below it's foreign counterparts. Guess, everyone has been hogging on too much drama and manipulations on other desi reality shows that this is also assumed to one among the run-of-the-mills!

ps - I usually try to believe that shows are not rigged, otherwise I lose interest in them!

pps - Why does everyone have a problem with Micheal's appearance here, how shallow has the human race become 😕

Well we will have to measure the depth😉 ...want him to look dinchak...getting him ready for Swayamwar...now don't say that he doesn't have to look impeccable, immaculate, spick-and-span for that...kuch bi chalega..

Pehle toh yeh decide karo Kiska SwayamVar ya SwayamVadhu hai 😆 Waise bhi Cycle Uncle ka age bar ho gaya hai, and hamari 'Abhi toh main jawaan hoon' Veena Ji Cyclewale Baba ka form bhi approve nahi karengi 😛😆

Age bar ho gaya no problem..SwayamVadhu kar sakte hai...but for that we will have to work too hard...Michael ka aise kuch nahi ho sakti...he will have to be camouflaged so that Veena even sets her eyes on him...Veena is very tactile...too much toucy-feely...😳
