I do not have any troubles understanding language that is not refined, nor do I automatically find people who use crude language to be wrong. Though, I must say Prasad seems to have quite a grasp on vocabulary and appears well aware of what he is writing. I found his tone degrading, and so I mentioned it. Why only see the light for one character, but not another, is what I was pointing out. Varsha had her own issues and circumstances, just like Shravani; similarly, one can dislike Shravani's actions just as Varsha's were disliked.
I hope you do realize that many of us who you are referring to don't quite have that "darker side" you mentioned. Personally I did not engage in the Shravani Hate Club, I am only responding because I find it futile to speak of people and events that are long gone.
I think the part about viewing Shravani and Varsha with the same view also holds to viewing Archana and Sharvani, or for that matter any two characters in the same view. Not that they're all the same, or their situations and circumstances. But the point is if Shravani was bashed for what was percieved as her mistake, not even that but a sin and a crime by most people; then it's ok if some others feel strongly about other characters isn't it? The hate club is in the past yes; but it obviously sets some standards for the present anf the future as well. And we can all say let's forget about it, but it will always come up everytime somebody points out harsh language used for other characters because it was used for Shravani. I didn't say you or anybody in particular were part of the club, I wasn't in the forum when it was active and even now, I don't know all the members to know their activities. But out of curiosity, I googled for the hate club in IF today and found it, and in the very few pages I visited I did see some familiar names. Like I said, it probably wasn't on purpose and everybody got carried away because Shravani came in the middle of Arman. But it did happen, and if somebody gets out of hand while posting something now, everybody should pause to consider if it was done in haste or in spite to degrade somebody. And instead of passing snide remarks or jumping on the person demanding an explanation, it would be better to ask calmly what the poster meant, dont you think?
Again I wish to stress on one thing, nearly all characters have been disliked at some point in PR, some more so than others. But Shravani got the worst of it. And just like Shravani's actions were disliked enough to create hate clubs, Archana's or anybody else's actions can be disliked and the dislike communicated in the way the member feels best. If the member does not break the rules and does not become abusive, he/she should be allowed to have their say remembering that everyone is and has been entitled to their like/dislike even hate for characters at some point. Also, another thing. There has also been a mention of some people taking PR so seriously and discussing it with so much intensity in the EDT thread. May I remind everyone that PR was, at one point, taken so seriously by a
lot of members that a hate club was created and ran for nearly 300 pages for a fictional character where even the actor playing the role was not spared? While not dwelling on the past, we should understand that some people do spend a lot of time on the forum and if they want to discuss it intensely it's completely their prerogative. There is no need to be sarcastic about it, or even wonder about it, is there?
