Today's episode may depress many of the ardent fans of SSBN, but hopefully, their patience will not be taxed for too long. There were many incidents today, that would seem to have been placed to create suspense, but where situations are so artificially, stage managed, more than suspense, it is disgust at those who have created this plot.
Daksh and Sonakshi are in bed, and he is deep in his sleep, due to the after effects of the drug mixed by Sonakshi in his coffee. She is not asleep, but is waiting to see his reaction, and when she hears his phone beep, she remains quietly, well aware that he is in no position to receive the call. The call comes from Naina, who is in the house of Ayush.
The prayer ceremony is in progress, and while the devotees are immersed in their prayers, Rohini is the only one thinking what Sonakshi must be up to, at that very moment. The same thoughts go through Naina's mind, who is distracted in her prayers, and goes aside and makes the call. Rohini notices her repeated attempts, and guesses right. After some time, she decides to go home, but Rohini stops her with some excuse. The father then inquires what is bothering Naina, and she tells him, that she has to go home, to attend to a job at the office. He asks her to wait till the ceremony gets over. She decides to stay back, and they all go home.
Before the family can return, Sonakshi senses, that Daksh is about to get up, so she slides down from the bed, wrapped in her red blanket, and crouches down, and glances at Daksh every now and then. Daksh eventually gets up, with his shirt buttons opened - obviously by Sonakshi. He holds his head with his hand and complains about the severe heaviness in his head, and can not understand what caused it. This is a minus mark, for the intuition of Daksh. For the next few minutes, we are given a dose of Sonakshi's whimpering and innuendos and complaints, the thrust of which is that Daksh had intimate relations with her overcome by their emotions. Daksh becomes completely awake, and is astonished at her accusations. He says that it is impossible, as he is not a man to do it, even in his sleep. Sonakshi later refuses to accept his explanations, and leaves the room. While she is gone, he tidies the bed, and while doing so, finds a rectangular black obect which he picks up and stares at it, and suspects foul play by Sonakshi. Just then, Naina enters his room, and finds him very distraught, and asks him what has happened, and why he did not pick her calls, neither on the mobile nor on the land line. Daksh lowers his gaze and does not look at Naina, as he is in a daze. She tries to open his fist, but he tells her to leave him alone. She asks him, why he does not look at her in the eye. She tells him, that she loves him, and translates it in Hindi as well. Rather she translated it into English too. Seeing Daksh unresponsive, she leaves the room.
As she walks down the corridor, she finds Rohini meets a sobbing Sonakshi, and inquires from her the cause of her grief, and then suggests that she would not like to speak in front of outsiders, pointing at Naina, and they go to her room. At this very moment, Ayee calls her Darjeeling help, to assist her and the help, leaves the place to go downstairs.
Rohini and Sonakshi are in the room of the former, and the latter starts her monologue, in a staccato, sobbing and whimpering, and telling her the story she had cooked up, and in the beginning the act is so perfect, that Rohini believes her, and when she tells that Daksh has done a big mistake, and he will have to pay for it, Sonakshi looks askance, and smiles. Rohini understands the hint, and they gloat on their success, and tells her that now she has to be careful and go to Naina's room, and be always alert.
Downstairs, the Darjeeling Maid, helps the Matriarch, and they lay the table for the family. Daksh is sitting with his palm bandaged. His concerned mother wants to know what has happened, while the Darjeeling Maid, looks on with a glum face.
They all are concerned with a show of concern at the scene of the famous Sonakshi Joshi, dragging her cabin bag, to go from the Patwardhan residence. As all except her antagonists are sad, and the parting of the vivacious girl, with a bandaged arm, in a loose sling, they hear a voice. "Sonakshi, wait." It is Daksh Patwardhan.
I expected the empty packet of the drug used by Sonakshi which was allowed to fall on the kitchen floor would have been found by some alert member of the Patwardhan house. Apparently no one has seen it. If it disappears from the story, it may have been swept by the boys on the set, and like some of their characters who disappear for long times from the story, this too, may be forgotten, unless the CVs remember it suddenly, and bring it back in one of their twists. Wait and see.
