Was Sameera a choti sheher ki ladki???

First of all, great episode tonight! Lots of food for thought. I am pretty sure it was Geet Maan saw through the window thing but what was she doing to get that expression on his face? As soon as I find out I will be employing said technique to attract my (yet unmanifest) Maan!

Anyway, I noticed something today: Maan said he knows these "choti sheher ki ladkiyan" and how they trap rich boys, basically gold-diggers. He accused Geet of this a few times previously as well. The guy seems overly paranoid about being fooled by a girl who acts very innocent but turns out to have rotten intentions underneath. So paranoid, in fact, that I would go as far as to question whether his greatest heart break wasn't caused by one such lady...😲

Now insofar as we assume that Sameera was Maan's previous love interest, I had always pictured her as this urban-youth type, all mini-skirted and high heeled a la Sasha but maybe Maan has a type. Maybe he initially felt attracted to Geet because he sort of has a thing for village belles. Of course later the attraction evolved into love when he realised she was more than just a naive, happy girl, but maybe the initial attraction and the conflict it caused can be due to his previous experiences with Sameera, who was from a small town, acted all cutesy and "bubbly", made him fall deeply in love with her, only to slip-up/underestimate Maan's intelligence and have him find out that she was only in it for the dough!

I imagine a pre-Sameera Maan as pretty much the same, closed off and angry but more naiive and really sensitive on the inside, so when someone made the effort to break through his exterior shell he was immediately into that person, and Sameera was smart enough to do this. Then when Geet came along, he was attracted to her, resisted it because he thought it was more of the same and then finally fell head over heels when he realised that although she was the helpless damsel by default, she almost never tried to milk the situation for his favour...

AND...Discuss!

I was thinking that too whenever Maan comments about Women or girls it just reminds me of that scene where Dadi tellls him it was sameera's fault What could have she done to him to make him like that I still believe that he's been heartbroken before Geet and thats why theres this tough exterior

I know what you mean. He took forever to even open himself up completely to Geet. It was a very gradual process indeed, which really culminated only in the bankruptcy track. Ironic, as he forgot it all a week later 😒

I would guess that for someone to become so averse to emotion, they would have been guarded in the first place, been coaxed to let their guard down and then cheated by the one person they had let in, making them feel like they should always keep emotions under lock-down forever!

Poor Maan!

Yes this is the second time he said that small town girls are gold-diggers and wear a mask of pretension.

I guess maybe Sam either made it big into the world and then left him mid-way or used him to get to the apex and hence the bitterness.

Honestly speaking, instead of this memory loss track, I'd have loved if they had introduced Sam instead! We have been speculating her r'ship with Maan since past one year and she has yet not shown her face. 😔 I mean, last year also we were discussing the same and even after a year, discussion is the same! 😆

But even with ML track, we can get an insight of Sam and Maan's actual reason for being the Dusht-Danav. Hope CVs delve into his angry man exterior soon! 🤔

I felt the same too after last night's episode...only, the first time he said something similar in outhouse, he didn't mention the 'chote shahar ki ladkiya."

I think this is the right time for Sameera to make an entry...for nothing else but to make Maan realise that he is attracted to and is in love with Geet despite ML and everything else.

Sameera should be the catalyst.

Also, I found it strange that Dev should wonder if this is Nayantara indeed!

Who was he shaking hands with, outside the restaurant????

Is he suffering from ML too?😲

You took the words right out of my mouth. Funny thing is I thought the same .. but even before any of these tracks started. I would always think ..
Would Sameera really be this high-society woman? What if she was a small-town girl like Geet? What if that's the reason Maan was reserved about such girls until he met Geet?
There has to be a reason why he'd reiterate this "small-town" factor ... infact doing it twice in front of Geet!
The more I think of it .. the more I feel that maybe .. just maybe Sameera was just like Geet in many ways. Bubbly, soft-spoken, etc .. but the one major difference would be their intentions.
Maan had that outburst in the outhouse pre-Teri Deewani .. and right after that we heard Daadima mention Sameera .. perhaps he was taken for a ride by her and later dumped her after she showed her true colours. This is why he took some time to realize Geet isn't one of those girls .. but very different.
Today's outburst makes me really wonder now whether Sameera was infact a small town girl or one of those high-society "a la Sasha" type girls!

Oh yeah, I would have thought Sam just wanted to marry him for the money but you are right, maybe actually she used him to further her own ambitions. Again, poor Maan!

One of the things I love about this story is that neither Maan nor Geet are without baggage coming into their relationship but it's almost contradictory that their relationship is so wholesome, and just clicks, despite them having to deal with this baggage. Now we know all about Geet's past and it has progressed the story for over a year. Couldn't dealing with Maan's past do the same?

I was not all for the ML track myself when it first started. Now I realise that it is good entertainment but it still bugs me that all of Maan's character development (which I thought was so superbly brought out) was erased. They could have used that new security of Maan and Geet's relationship to bring out his past and have Geet standing by him.

I think they could have continued with the Maan/Geet-working-ego-clash track and then have had Sam enter with the dull, rich husband she did manage to snare, mocking Maan's fall from power etc. I would have loved to see a story where Geet and Maan have silly fights at home but she supports him 100% against external forces and in a sense, "rescues" him from his past, just like he did for her...

Then again, ML does not preclude this. It could still happen once his memory returns.

I agree. Sameera could be a very interesting introduction at this point, if her entry is handled properly and the CVs make sure she unites them through her nefarious plots, rather than driving a wedge between them. I would love to see Geet becoming a place of comfort for Maan, even if he doesn't remember why, and that coupled with the attraction he is feeling a tinge of should set the stage for a big realisation and his memory coming back.

What you said about Dev so true! I would love to think that there is some exciting twist involved, but it may well just be a blooper. If he was shaking hands with her, why was he so shocked to hear of her recovery? Good observation!

Exactly. And he also told her to stop doing "natak" when she was trying to tell him the truth about her pregnancy. If you really think about it then there are a lot of signs that point to Sameera being very similar to Geet, at least externally.
