Hey -great post with lots of food for thought. Even I have always pictured Sameera (before the time when there were rumors that Sameera is actually his Mom ?????) Is a Sasha type highflyer. But , after your post it's got me thinking that you guys do have a valid point here. All said and done I also feel that the CVs should bring in Sameera at some point after Maan regains his memory- otherwise we would miss GSK's jealousy and the part where MSK would have to explain to his wife why he kept this secret from her for all this time. Then the roothna manana chakkar ---then----- Sooorry guys , my post is turning out to be more a "kaash aisa hota " wishlist. Happy viewing today !

Just caught the new promo...am confused.

Maan's rejecting Geet and the fact of their marriage and asking her to leave!!...though a highly dramatic version of what they'll eventually show, can't understand something.

Ok...he got the info via the album...but what else did those pictures reveal? That he was happy and looked very much in love with Geet in those pictures not dour and uninvolved in the whole proceedings.

Shouldn't that make him believe that the marriage was real and that they both were in love with each other and and wanted to be together?

Is all this coz no one has informed him about his ML (which is very silly, I think)? Does he think everyone's having him on about the marriage? If so, how to explain the look of bliss on his face in the pics?

Even if he finds out that he's suffering a ML, shouldn't he give her and the truth a chance?

i too think that the dialogue suggested that sam was indeed from a small town with big dreams to get married to a rich person...hope cvs will show this track in future to shed light on how Maan became dusht danav

It's interesting you feel this way because I thought the promo was pretty spot-on.

First, he knows about his ML doesn't he? I think Dev and the Doctor did tell him, but he is unaware that his life has not exactly been on an even keel for the pat year (and a half?), right? Or did I just make that up?

I think the fact that he looks happy in the pictures would make him even more suspicious as he cannot fathom a situation in which he could feel that way. Perhaps this increases his paranoia of being "trapped" by her under false pretenses, a suspicion he has already expressed. Finding out that he is married to this highly irritating person, and knowing deep down that he is kind of attracted to her will probably send his denial reflexes into overdrive! His first instinct will be to drive her away, before some soul-searching and stern words from Daadi cause him to reconsider and give the truth a chance.

And I think in telling her to leave he is trying to establish his power over her, that they may have been married, but he still calls the shots, nothing has changed between them: just like he told her she could stay, based on his decision and no one else's, she can go, based on his decision and no one else's. This, according to me, is also part of the denial. He will have some internal conflict as soon as he discovers the truth, regarding his recent behaviour towards her, but his first instinct will be to try and prove that nothing has changed (like all the times he stressed being "professional" in the office when he knew he was falling for her).

What I especially loved about the promo was Geet's reactions. She was so calm and collected, ready to deal with all his irrationality as opposed to breaking down when he basically disowned her. I love this new inner-strength they are showing in Geet and I hope she doesn't leave, i hope she asserts her position as a major shareholder, just to show him that she is his wife and he loves and trusts her, whether he remembers and acknowledges it or not!

About Sameera being his mom...haha, I know but that is why I inserted the clause that we are assuming Sameera to be his former love interest. Though, I think it there is potential for an interesting story if it was his mother...

And don't worry about the kaash-ness of your posts, it's what leads to interesting discussion about the future of the story! Clearly, Geet's past provided the show with a year of good story so I think Maan's past has a lot of potential for the same. And along with the scenarios you mentioned I would love to see a storyline with Geet giving Maan the strength to face his past and get closure, a sort of reversal of what he did for her by saving her in HP, accepting her baby and then getting Dev and NT arrested.

I'm pretty sure Maan thinks he's lost only a few weeks of his memory or at the most a month...remember him thinking he'd used the printer only last month. Only the rest of the family knows he's lost about a year and a half.

I don't know if Maan considers himself as a person who could be trapped under false pretenses. I think he wouldn't be married unless he really wanted to be. Which is why I'm confused about the promo..to me, it makes very little sense...unless they cvs show it as Maan having bowed to dadi's wishes and married Geet...much against his will..I mean, maybe he might think that's how the two ended being married.

PS: I liked your idea of Geet asserting herself as the major share-holder in the firm! I don't think he'll tell her to leave but in the event he does, maybe she can use this trump card in more ways than one...1) By telling him he must have loved and trusted her enough to sign over the major share to her and 2) she can still be around him 24/7 as his ...boss cum wife!!!
