For your information, ultra sound test is done only later. First, the following tests are done.
The following are generally covered during a typical gynecological exam:Blood pressure. Weight ,Pulse, External exam (breasts and abdomen) .Pap smear (cervix) Internal pelvic exam (vagina, reproductive organs) Doctors generally check the pulse and can tell whether the woman is pregnant or not. Further, urine test is done and if the result is positive, then pregnancy is confirmed. May be that was done during this visit.
- It is absolutely right advise for the expecting mother to look at a picture of cute baby during her pregnancy time.
One cannot know from just checking the Pulse whether a patient is pregnant or not... only Ayurvedic docs do that...
the first confirmatory test after missing a period is done thru Urine test and/or PV examination ....and obviously, finally a sonography if still in doubt....
all the other tests are done to confirm if the expectant mother is in good health...
