Written Update Dec 1, 2010, Episode 13

Recap: On reaching Talsagra the villagers oppose Gulaal, Paan Baa takes her home. Sudha realizes Dushyant's lustful intentions for Gulaal.

Gulaal is on the terrace and flashbacks to Vasant's telling her about the boon and his pleading with her to come to Talsagra, his holding Gheegha's hand from hitting, the villagers reactions, Mota Bha's declaring that if Vasant's thought about Neerja's boon turned out to be incorrect then Neerja and Vasant will both be kicked out of the village. Vasant brings her dinner, she says she already ate with everyone, he says she used to eat 3 chapatis in Rashipur but ate just 1 here. He tries to feed her and asks what she is thinking. She says nothing, he says lies, her thoughts are coming out as sweat. The dialogues are amazing - such a nice way to say that her thoughts are negative which is causing her to sweat with worry.

She looks at him with tears in her eyes, he asks if she is worried about her father, she says she is also worried about what if the anklets don't ring the next day in Talsagra. He says then it means Talsagra does not have water underground, she asks what if it doesn't ring even near water. He points out to the moon saying what if the moon breaks into pieces and falls down, what if the stars disappear, what if a gust of wind comes and destroys their house, what if their hair becomes white talking, what if they become a temple talking, he says if he too would think like that - what if he cannot find raamjaliya, if he was wrong about Neerja, if he couldn't return alive from Rashipur. She says this same hope scares her, what is she, an ordinary girl from Rashipur, how will she do this, what if she is unsuccessful, she cannot take on the burden of all these hopes set on her. He says one should fear hopelessness, not hope. He gives her raamjaliya's bangle as the sign of someone who knew of her boon before knowing her, who used to dream of her boon, because of whom Vasant and Gulaal met, and because of whom she will now bring water to Talsagra. She takes it and wears it as a sign of hope, courage, and trust.

The next morning everyone prays to God before heading out on their mission to find water. Gulaal puts on the anklets. Gulaal prays that this is not Gulaal's test but God's, if God exists then she exists, she is nothing without God, she needs God's help at every step, if she has given her the boon then she should give her the courage to deliver. Dayi Baa tells her there is no need for her to worry, now God will worry, if God didn't want would Gulaal reach Talsagra. Paan Baa tells her that Talsagra's fate is in Gulaal's feet, so to take her steps forward. Thanks Paan Baa, no pressure. The entire moment is so solemn. Gulaal takes their blessings and moves forward with Vasant by her side.

The phone rings and Gheegha talks to someone. Jamna and Sudha look at the villagers praising God and following Gulaal. Gheegha tells Mota Bha they had to see this day, enemy daughter in the front and they are behind, it is clear that Talsagra doesn't know how to fulfill enmity. Gheegha asks Mota Bha if he knows who she is, he has found out about Gulaal's background, he tells him to ask Paan Baa which family Gulaal is from, Paan Baa looks guilty. Gheegha tells Mota Bha that Gulaal is Revji Bhai's daughter. Mota Bha is shocked to find out that Gulaal is related to the family where Kanchan was burned. Jamna is shocked. Gheegha says he will do something about this and goes inside, Paan Baa avoids their eyes and follows the villagers.

Gheegha writes a letter to Revji about how Gulaal has come to Talsagra alone with Vasant, he has never seen a father willing to ruin his daughter's character like this.

The villagers proceed, Dushyant looks on. Gheegha calls Dushyant and asks him to send the letter as soon as possible to Gulaal's house, if they have some shame her father will come to get her back, and when he gets here they will not leave him alive. He asks Dushyant not to send it with someone from Talsagra.

Gulaal walks around and puts her foot in several places but the anklet doesn't ring. Vasant explains the directions to her and asks her which way they should go. Gulaal concentrates and follows the the direction of the wind. Vasant plays the drum and follows.

Dushyant gives the letter to a man on a camel, the man says it will take 2-3 days, Dushyant says who is in a hurry anyway with a sneaky smile and thinks let the girl stay for a few days.

Gulaal keeps going in different directions but the anklets don't ring. Then she stops at one place and feels the strength of the boon, everyone looks eagerly at her anklets, suddenly it starts ringing, first slowly then it catches momentum. Everyone looks shocked and happy, hopeful, Gulaal is overwhelmed and feels more confident by the minute, she drops a handful of color (Gulaal) on the ground indicating that this is the water spot. Kesar looks at her in wonder. Gulaal finds the exact spot and her anklet rings like crazy indicating this is the exact place of water. Gulaal drops another handful of color and tells Vasant that between the three places she threw color is a big place full of water.

Precap: Everyone is digging for water but to no avail. Gulaal pledges that she will not take in either food or water till they find water, either water till come out or her life.
