Written Update Nov 17 2010, Episode 3

Mota Bha wakes up and sees a paper on his table, Vasant wrote that he is going to find Talsagra's future and to forgive him since he is going without telling him. He yells out Paan Baa's name and asks if she knew in front of everyone, she nods yes. Mota Bha yells at her angrily, she says he went for the village's future, he tells her that their tears have not dried crying for Kanchan and she sent him to the enemy village, Gheegha asks Paan Baa gently in a broken voice that she forgot their Kanchan and their honor and sorrow, Paan Baa says no, there is no difference between Kanchan and Vasant, but the village's plight is bigger than them. Dushyant tells her that Rashipur, the enemy village, will not let Vasant come back alive. Mota Bha tells her that his Vasant is the breadth of his chest (his pride), but today he has brought them shame. He leaves. Kesar and the girls support Paan Baa.

Vasant is in the desert resting, a snake comes and bites him and he faints. When he wakes up he finds himself in the tent of a priest. He tells the priest he was on his way to Rashipur, the priest asks if he is going to the fair, he says no he is going to find someone. The priest motivates him a bit. Vasant goes on his way.

He comes to the village and sees them beating a young guy mercilessly because he is from Talsagra. One of the men asks Vasant who he is, Vasant says he came to see the fair, his name is Lakha. The man thinks he has come to play the drum and was called by Yogesh. Vasant looks everywhere to see if he can find Neerja.

He buys all the bangles from a bangle-seller and starts selling them himself. He tells one girl that the price of the bangles is her answering his question. He asks if she knows Neerja, she says yes, he asks where is she, the girl snatches the bangles saying that the price was one answer so she has answered, and runs away. Poonam comes there and buys something from him, he refuses to take money but she gives him something. Vasant goes around looking for the group of girls who said they know Neerja.

Yogesh is frustrated since the drum-player has not yet arrived. They announce for him to come on the stage. The man he saw before tells Vasant Yogesh is looking for him. Gulaal's friend tells Yogesh she doesn't know where Gulaal is, he gets frustrated. Yogesh meets Vasant, who takes the drum to play a music. Vasant starts beating the drum to "dholida dhol wagad" (drum-player play the drum). He plays very well, and all the people gather around. Gulaal comes running with her face covered by her scarf and the rest of it trailing behind, the trailing portion comes on Vasant's face with the gust of wind and he looks intrigued while Gulaal runs away.

Vasant starts beating the drum again and Gulaal dances around him, both have so much chemistry as if they are just dancing for each other, with each other, oblivious to the rest of the world. Other people join the dance. Vasant keeps beating the drum and Gulaal keeps dancing to his tunes, finally ending it with her head on the drum looking up at him her head uncovered. Their eyes meet and they ask each other their names, he says Lakha, she says Gulaal.
