We do understand that Gulaal has suffered a terrible loss, but lest not forget that motabaa and panbaa lost their oldest son and Kesar lost his beloved brother. You don't forget your lost loved one but life has to go on. It is not very healthy for the soul the way Gulaal has carried on and almost unnatural to the point of been obsessive. At the end of the day it is not Kesar's fault either.

I agree with the point you have raised here. Gulaal was left on her own for the last 10 years with her memories of Vasant and their life and love together. The brain is an interesting thing and sometimes it can make memories, events and people into what you want and need them to you. As Gulaal never really resolved her grief and didn't have children or someone else to focus on, she has kept Vasant alive in her life.
Interesting thing is that Kesar has started to see this...he recognizes that Gulaal has made a boundary around herelf called Vasant. Nothing can penetrate it. Kesar has a lot of work ahead of him to get through this boundary. It is hard to fight someone who is not really there. Someone who is only alive in memories!
It will take either a big event or as water cuts through rock over time maybe Kesar will just have to work at it slowly.
As I have said time and time again I am really enjoying the battle of these two strong opponents.
