I remember that there was a gay character (if not wrong played by rakesh bedi) in the Serial TARA that use to come on Zee TV in the early 90s when the channel was launched. His character name was Popo and was more of a comic relief was the viewers

Actually the gay character was Petha, played by Deven Bhojani. He was attracted towards Popo, played by Emraan Khan. Popo was a straight guy though. And yes, Petha was basically comic relief.


Rakesh Bedi played another comic relief character, Danny.
