Our favourite show BHPH , started on 31rst may 2010, earned a decent TRP through out its journery except for last 3 months..On Sony TV it was rated higher and topped along with the evergreen CID and other reality shows..As a fiction show it had a dream run on Sony always under 100 in the TAM ratings for all television shows..It was the best bet for SONY, who spoiled it , killed and buried it😡😡😡..
These days am seeing only some reality and two fiction shows under 100 ratings according to TAM.. What happened to that new fangled, highly publicised and BBB copy show??..For that matter all those behanjis watching show too has never made its mark..
A few misplaced trust and highly skewed opinion of injecting new blood and revamping the general entertainment quotient from Sony stable is costing them dearly..Their calculations are all going haywire..Once again, it shows how poor promotion and marketing of fictions and concentrating only on crime based reality shows is the USP of Sony Tv..
Well what you sow , so shall you reap..Axing of a good show that brought top honours must be felt at the top echelons..For Sony crime pays well be it fiction or reality..
Old is always gold..New and much hyped trinklet can never match Gold status..

Maris - oh how I love this post!!

I have always thought SONY has had attention deficit disorder. It never invests in the fiction shows it has, and keeps running after the next "new" shiny show. And after reading what that Sony exec said about his new line up and current shows, I am even more certain that the TV execs heads are *ahem ahem* elsewhere. *wink wink* 😉

The way they treated BHPH, the show which brought them back into fiction during a very tough time slot, and kicked all of its viewers in the gut was an absolute injustice and travesty.

Sony is losing viewers - and not just because the World Cup was on - because they haven't realized that the viewer who watches CID is different from the viewer who watches Maa Exchange who is different from the viewers who watched BHPH. You lost us Sony - now suffer the consequences. Go cry in your khakaras.

Well said maris!!!!

We BHPH fans are delighted to see sony's trps these days. When you treat a a good show like bhph badly and hurting loyal fans ,this is what you will get in return. NO TRP'S at all for your shows now.
Reruns of BHPH will gain more trp's than sony's other shows now.
GO TO HELL SONY with out BHPH in your shows list ,thats the place you will be.
