Hello lovely fellow forum members!
I promised an OS whether I had good news or not. So here it is, hope you like it!

She had called him a ghost.
He pulled his very high wife out from under the bed. She could barely stand up straight. He put her over his shoulder and carried out of the room.
Shantanu put Khanak down startled by the darkness of the drawing room of the house. He settled Khanak on the couch. He started to say Hanuman Chalisa. He recalled Dadi telling him Shri Hanuman took away all hurdles and fears.
"Please God I promise to live in the morning!," he pleaded.
Khanak got up and started mumbling something about Harilal singing very nicely.
Shantanu froze and was trying to tell her otherwise.
He turned to see the caretaker. He was the one who said it was thandai then later said it was bhang. He was the cause of Khanak all drunk. If she had been alert they could figure something out and escape from these witches and ghosts.
" Dekho meri naye shaadi huyi hai. Please save us from these bhoots!," Shantanu exclaimed.
The caretaker looked at him with a strange look.
" Thieves make up such stories so they can get away with the loot from rich families like yours," he hissed.
Shantanu groaned. He just hoped Khanak would come out of this nasha soon. He liked it better when he was in control of things. All he wanted to do is play Holi and romance his wife. Instead they were trying to hide from some chadurail(witch) and they needed to also find their family.
" Shantanu what happened to the music? I like it when you sing to me," she said as she swayed upon getting up from the couch.
He glanced around. The caretaker had disappeared again.
"He probably is the one scaring us all. I better take care of Khanak before she gets hurt," he thought to himself.
Suddenly Khanak fell towards him and he was not able to balance himself along with her. They went flop on the ground. He hit his head and she barely missed the side table.
Both exclaimed ouch!
Khanak snapped out of her high state and got concerned about Shantanu.
" Aap theek to hain na?," she asked softly.
Shantanu smiled. He was relieved she seemed to have snapped out of the nasha a bit.
They heard footsteps heading towards them and Shantanu tried to make Khanak get up.
"Khanak that could be the ghost or the witch. Chalo utho," he urged.
"Haaiye. No one should see us like this. Shantanu I didn't know bhoots had footsteps,"she exclaimed.
Shantanu winced as she started to get up. He groaned a bit as he sat up. Khanak sat on the couch.
Sunil, Madhavi and Akshay rushed in.
" There you are! We have been searching for you two and the witch for two hours now," Sunil quipped.
"Lekin Dad, Khushboo is not here with them,"Akshay declared.
" Bhaiya I cannot believe you called Bhabhi a witch!," Shantanu exclaimed.
" Khushboo went home as we all know. Are you two all right?," Madhavi inquired.
"Yes Mom. Bhaiya I will be sure to pass on your new nickname to Bhabhi," Shantanu added.
"Shaan!"
" Don't worry Akshay. Shantanu was joking," Sunil assured him.
They all decided to leave early the next morning if Khushboo didn't agree to come back. They would play Holi either way.
Shantanu and Khanak returned to their bedroom.
"Khanak I am pretty sore. I am sleeping on the bed this time," Shantanu muttered.
Khanak gave him a quizzical look.
"Where else would you sleep?," she asked.
Shantanu shook his head.
"Pelhe toh nasha mein tum bed ke neeche sohgee thi," he stated. ( First you fell asleep under the bed when you were high)
Her eyes widened.
"What else did I do?,"she exclaimed.
Shantanu smiled.
"You thought your hands and feet disappeared," he quipped.
" Shantanu you are lying!," she yelled and chased him around the room.
"Nahin Khanak. Why would I lie to you?," he exclaimed.
She punched him in the arm.
" You like to play pranks on me all the time. Aap mujhe bauth tang karte ho!," she retorted.
"Oh hello Madam! You made me carry you twice today!"
She put her hands on her hips and stared at him open mouthed.
" What's the use of your muscles if you can't even carry me once in awhile? What is it called again? Oh yeah be a man for once! You are scared of ghosts and witches, then you complain about picking me up! Ugh!," she exclaimed.
Shantanu strode over to her.
"Khanak stop this ok?"
"Kyun saach toh hai," she retorted.
"All right that's it! I know how to shut you up!," Shantanu declared.
She was about to say something else when his lips came crashing down on hers and soon he had lifted her and placed her on the bed.
He pulled back and smiled.
" Happy now?," he asked.
She stared at him in surprise.
Then she grabbed his collar and gave him a peck on his cheek.

The next morning Shantanu noticed Khanak was missing. He got freshened up and changed. He then went to look for her.
Suddenly she emerged in front of him with a tray of colors.
" Happy Holi Shantanu!," she exclaimed as she put some color on his cheek.
He smiled lost in her bright smile for a moment.
Then he took some red color and filled her maang. She closed her eyes as he did.
"Happy Holi Khanak," he whispered.
They started to go look for the rest of the family. They walked together.
" Shantanu I am sorry about yesterday. I know I tend to do some silly things when I have something strong madeira," she said.
Shantanu wrapped an arm around her.
" Tere sang toh hamesha rehna hai meri jaan. No need for sorry. We are both fine that's what matters," he replied.
