A video of Varun Dhawan from Wankhede Stadium has been circulating widely on social media after the actor appeared to lose his temper with a fan attempting to take a selfie during the India vs England semifinal clash.

In the clip that has now gone viral, the actor is seen moving through a crowded section of the stands when a fan tries to capture a quick selfie with him. Varun briefly grabs the fan’s phone and appears visibly irritated before handing it back. The moment lasted only a few seconds, but it quickly sparked conversation online, with many debating whether the actor was reacting to an overwhelming crowd situation.

Varun had stepped out to watch the high-voltage semifinal between India national cricket team and England national cricket team as part of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Known for his love of cricket, the actor is often spotted at major matches whenever his work schedule allows. Throughout the game, he appeared deeply invested in the action, reacting animatedly to several key moments from the stands.

Also present at the stadium was veteran actor Anil Kapoor, whose film Subedaar released on Amazon Prime Video earlier the same day. At one point during the match, Varun and Kapoor were seen sharing a conversation and exchanging reactions as the contest intensified.
