Hrithik Roshan shares throwback with sons, reflects on pride, love and joy of watching them grow

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan recently shared a quiet and emotional moment from his personal life, posting a throwback photograph with his two sons, Hrehaan Roshan and Hridhaan Roshan. The actor paired the image with a long and reflective caption that explored fatherhood, pride, and unconditional love.

The photograph captures a relaxed day on a boat. Hrithik is seen sitting shirtless on a white cushioned deck, wearing a beige cap and smiling warmly at the camera. His sons sit beside him, mirroring his laid-back posture. One of them wears a red cap with aviator sunglasses, while the other sports a brown cap. The bright sunlight and visible boat rigging in the background add to the vacation-like setting, making the moment feel casual and intimate.

Sharing the image, the actor began his caption with a playful note: “ANOTHER STATUTORY WARNING. #loverant.” He then reflected on the emotions he experiences as a father watching his children grow into young men. Hrithik wrote that it is “so much fun to see your kids shine” and admitted that he often finds himself feeling proud of the people they are becoming, praising their talents, humility, work ethic and accomplishments.

However, the actor also used the moment to question the idea of pride itself. In his note, he explained how pride is often linked to achievement and can create the feeling that love must be earned through performance. Hrithik wrote that pride can sometimes disguise itself as love, but he wanted to make one thing clear to his sons. His love for them, he said, exists regardless of achievements. “No matter how great my pride is, it cannot for a second compete with my love for you. For just the way you are,” he wrote, adding that they are already enough and belong exactly as they are.

The actor also encouraged his sons to experience life fully, including failure. He said he hopes they face “spectacular failures” and feel every emotion deeply, describing life as a journey of experiencing rather than constantly chasing meaning or victory.

On the professional front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in War 2 alongside Jr NTR. The actor is also expected to return as the beloved superhero in Krrish 4, the next chapter of the franchise that began with Koi Mil Gaya.
