Shantanu's career had finally taken off. It had been all possible with the last key he needed, a strong backing which he received thanks to Rahul. Rahul had finally regained his lost confidence and was able to give Shantanu a proper launching pad for his career.

Khanak and Shantanu had returned to the Khandlewal Manison. Dadi arrived in time to greet their return along with Sunil , Madhavi, Akshay and Khushboo. Khanak sensed Khushboo Bhabhi was glowing for another reason besides their return. The following week, Khushboo admitted she was expecting and was planning to keep the baby this time. She regretted her decision from last time.

Khanak was happy and relieved that Khushboo Bhabhi was expecting. Since Shantanu would be busy with his career , she could do something of her own since she would not be expected to hurry up and become a mother in order for Khandlewals to have a heir.

She lay awake thinking about what her future plans would be one night. Shantanu had returned late from rehearsals. He was surprised to see her wide awake.

He waved a hand in front of her face.

"Iski yaad mein koyi ho?," he inquired jokingly.

She blinked and smiled slightly to see him suddenly beside her.

" I was just thinking about what I should do," she pondered.

He frowned as he looked at her closely. He was leaning against his arm and looking at her with his full attention.

" Ab kya hua Khanak? Hum apne ghar vabas aagaye hain. What else could be an issue?," he asked.

She leaned forward and looked at him firmly.

" You'll be busy with your career. How will I spend my time all day?," she inquired.

"Meri yaad mein," Shantanu quipped.

She rolled her eyes at him.

" Aap bade beshram ho," she hissed as she nudged him.

" Khanak kya hua? Seriously you can tell me," he assured her.

" I want to go take some courses and have my career," she declared.

He looked at her surprised. Had what he said a few weeks ago still lingered in her mind. Was she still upset?

" Dekho Khanak if this is about my outburst a few weeks ago then I am sorry," he said as he put his hands on his ears.

She made him move his hands away.

"No. I just realized all this time we were working towards your dream or someone else's. I would like to have something of my own," she insisted.

"Oh. Well Khanak if you want to do something say the word. I'll do whatever I can to help," he insisted.

She smiled.

" Well I want to study interior fashion design. So that means you need to help me find a decent school. After that I will deal with everything. You can do your rehearsals and concerts and I will do my coursework until I finish. However you do know this means we can't have a child for awhile. We both need to establish ourseleves," she quipped.

Shantanu pulled her close to himself.

"Khushboo Bhabhi is expecting. I think we can wait on having children for now. Anyway this does not mean we cannot romance in the mean time," he quipped as he snuggled close to her.

The possibilities were endless for the couple as the night passed blissfully for them.
